Something good for this nation is going to emerge from the Columbia disaster. It doesn't have that much to do with courage or heroism or any determination to "get back up there," though all those things are fine. It has more to do with the way, in the years ahead, the people of this country are likely to think about the world--about their world. I think the United States is growing up.
