Okay, everyone here knows about the "New Posts to You" section which we can click on in the upper right hand corner of most pages. This is where we can read posts that are replies to our posts, and posts we have placed, along with pings.
My question: How do you delete posts in this section? I have posts there from months ago, yet I have yet to figure out how to delete them.
All help would be appreciated.

From what I understand, you can't, but it doesn't mess with storage space.
To: technomage
Me too, I want to know the same thing.
Thanks!

I want to know, too. I don't think we can get rid of old posts but I'll check in tomorrow in case I'm missing something.

Here's another question:
Can "New Posts to You" be made to ignore when we post ourselves and when we post to others? ... that way we wouldn't go there on our replies only ... only when people reply to us ...
would save a page or two every now and then ... FWIW ...

Even posts that have been deleted by the AdminMod will remain there, impossible to delete. Unless some new features are added to the forum, it can't be done.

Ya don't.........It is handled via the server and is not your data base to adjust.

I get tired of the page being filled up with messages I don't want to read.. pinged to my screen name.
Of course this might come in handy if you want to fill up some poster's "my comments" page with dozens of the most boring and useless messages on FR.

Well it would HELP if you would log in.

That's why I stay off Ping lists, adds to the comments;but I do refer back to posts and stories that way..comes in handy.

yeah, I don't know if it will save bandwidth but might keep us from going to that page for no reason ... i.e., you post, sign off some time later, and then come back the next day thinking you may have to answer somebody and it's just your old post ...
can we also have mailbox access on each thread? (a link to my mail)
and we want Ice Cream too!!! LOL!!!

Last December I went back through all the posts I'd made last year.
(Sheesh... I'll try to do better this year!)

what I want to know is how can we search for posts we made 6 months ago without paging thru 20 pages

Why do you want to deleate them? Are you one of those neat freaks? If you have time on your hands & not enough to do come over here & clean out my garage.
