A suggestion for Jim Robinson: Name President George W. Bush the "Honorary" 100,000th Freeper
one man's opinion

Posted on 01/30/2003 10:46:49 AM PST by ken5050

I was reading a thread earlier this morning by a long time lurker and first time poster, and I was curious to see what # Freeper he was ( you can do the same by dragging - not clicking - your mouse over a screen name - the counter appears on the bottom of your screen - it's kewl) and it was 97,000 something....I'd estimate that FR might get its 100,000th registered member in about 30-60 days..(maybe sooner, as international events heat up) and someone will be #100,000. Now, that's real special, and a tribute in its own way to JimRob and his vision for FR, so whomever gets it should be special as well, IMHO..so, I was thinking...

Is there any reason why Jim Robinson couldn't, or shouldn't make President George W. Bush the honorary 100,000th Freeper...

There are several good reasons to do so, IMHO:

1. It'd be our way of paying tribute to a man that nearly all of us greatly admire.

2. FR is, as we all know, one of the more popular sites on the web. Achieving 100,000 registered members is a huge milestone, and a tribute to JimRob's vision, and should be a special event.

3. Many of the media turn to FR to get the latest scoop on what's really happening....and more and more we're making, as well as reporting, the news....so I'm sure FR would get lots of publicity from this action.

His administration would disavow FR quicker than they dropped Jerry Thacker.

I have wondered how you knew what # you were. I tried tried "dragging" my mouse across a screen name with no luck. I guess I need more directions on how to do that.
Thanks in advance.

Did you listen to his SOU speech the other night? The one where he listed all the big government spending programs? Is that what we want? I liked what he had to say about national security, but was pretty depressed during the litany of proposed programs and spending.

guess I'd better go put on my flame suit...

We already have a FReeper named George W. Bush.

I suggest George Washington for 100,000th FReeper (unless that name is taken too); Martha if it's a female registrant.

What?! Are you kidding? I'd LOVE to get on his ping lists. Especially the one that summarizes his daily intelligence briefings. All I gotta do is get him to upgrade my security clearance slightly.

It's OK, OT.

He knows it that no one can wield it. He knows it must be destroyed. ;)
