Prayer Thread for longtime Freeper YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS

Longtime Freeper, YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS will be having some delicate spinal surgery performed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2003 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She has requested prayer support from her many friends here at FreeRepublic.

She wanted me to ask that no cards or flowers be sent. Instead, if you feel so moved, please donate to Free Republic or to some effort in support of President Bush's moves in the War on Terrorism. She also stated that there is a critical need for blood these days, so donating blood in her name would also be something she'd be grateful for.

Dallas and local Texas Freepers have her permission (and mine!) to contact me for particulars in freepmail.

Our Father in Heaven, we are grateful for your servant, whom we know as "Yellow Rose of Texas." We ask that you inspire, guide, guard, direct, and protect her, her doctors, her nurses, and any health care professional who is working with her case in any way whatsoever.

We ask that the Lord will send angels to protect her and watch over her and her family and the hospital staff. We pray that this surgery will be a huge success that will be instrumental in the reduction of the pain which she has been suffering for a very long time.

We pray that her recovery will be rapid so that she can return once more to her place in the trenches of our Free Republic forum! We realize that this request is somewhat selfish on our part, but it is no less sincere, Lord!

Father of us all, we ask that she be healed of any and all contributory conditions which may exist and are in need of your restoring touch. We ask that she be granted the greatest healing and wholeness that your Great Law will allow.

We ask that you will take the love which we hold in our hearts for this friend and surround her with it as a swaddling garment of comfort and light. We place all of our prayers on the altar and ask that they done according to thy will and only thy will.
