Resolution for a Proletarian Internationalist Campaign
Against the U.S.A.-Led Imperialist War of Global Terrorism
International Communist Seminar Economic Crises and Possibility of a Major World Crisis Brussels, 2-4 May 2002
27-06-2002
Whereas, George Bush, the chief (and "unelected") spokesperson of U.S. imperialism, launched a criminal, massive and unprovoked war of invasion and occupation against the people of Afghanistan, and
Whereas, Bush and U.S. imperialism amassed a global coalition composed of all the major imperialist powers (including England, France, Germany, Italy and Japan) and were able to bribe, bully and blackmail almost every government on earth (including those of Russia and China) to join the imperialist onslaught against Afghanistan, and
Whereas, behind the smokescreen of the September 11th events, Bush's war of terror is projected as an endless war for "god and country" with no defined enemy, no defined end and no specific goal-- a continuous war directed at many countries, and
Whereas, Bush and U.S. imperialism have already sent "special forces" troops to the Philippines and Colombia, undoubtedly directed against the advancing peoples liberation struggles of those two countries (reminiscent of the beginning of the U.S. imperialist war against Vietnam), as well as to Georgia, and they have made public their plans for deployment of troops to Yemen and Somalia, and they have openly threatened the countries of North Korea, Iraq and Iran (the new, so-called "Axis of Evil") and they have acknowledged as a real option "pre-emptive" U.S. nuclear strikes against such countries, and
Whereas, this so-called war on terrorism has incited and encouraged the U.S. backed Israeli Zionist state to savagely attack the Palestinian people and their liberation movement, and
Whereas, the U.S. imperialist-led war against the world's peoples is also being directed against the working people and oppressed national minorities in the USA itself --- with increased repression and attacks on civil liberties, increased police and military intelligence apparatus powers, war profiteering by finance capital with bail-outs, tax breaks and accelerated defense spending, rising immigrant bashing including secret and arbitrary detention of thousands of immigrants of Middle Eastern descent, and a general drive toward militarization and fascism, and
Whereas, these reactionary policies are not confined to the United States but are being replicated in many other imperialist countries with a growing drive toward fascism, as recently reflected in the Le Pen vote in France, as well as with the intensification of militarism and terrorist repression in the oppressed nations, and
Whereas, behind this war of terror, U.S. imperialism, the hegemonic imperialist power, has, at least for the time being, increased its control over the natural gas and oil resources of Central Asia as well as established a stronger military foothold in Asia, in the struggle among the imperialists for the redivision of the world's key resources, and
Whereas, this Bush-led war promises only catastrophe for the peoples of the world and represents a world-wide political crisis which only the toiling masses led by the international working class can breach, therefore be it
Resolved that the parties and organizations of the International Seminar held May 2-4, 2002 resolutely condemn and oppose the U.S. imperialist-led global terrorist war, and be it further
Resolved that the parties and organizations gathered together at the May Day 2002 International Seminar work for maximum coordination on the basis of proletarian internationalism to stop the U.S. Imperialist-led Global Terrorist war as part of the general struggle for national liberation and socialism, and be it further

The resolution is signed by the Workers World Party USA--the communist group behind IAC-ANSWER.
ANSWER spokesman Tony Murphy represented the WWP at this communist party meeting.
This resolution set the agenda for the world-wide "anti-war" protests last Saturday, January 18 including ANSWER's rallies in D.C. and San Francisco.
Those who watched the D.C. rally broadcast ad infinitum on C-SPAN will recognize that nearly all of the approved slogans were used by the speakers and appeared on the protest signs.
You are seeing it reported here first on Free Republic because the mainstream press won't report it.
Here is the link to IAC-ANSWER spokesman Tony Murphy's paper presented at the communist symposium: Mash here.

(workers world party) the enemy
THANKS KRISTINN (like a duracell, Kristinn keeps going... and going... and going...)
good find / important post
Ain't it the truth, and God how I hate them.
I really, really thought Horowitz would have managed to skewer Colmes and the (other) lefty tonight. Even though I am glad they are FINALLY talking at length about that crowd of human detritus on FOX, I was disappointed at the end result.
A buncha stinkin' Commies
What a bunch of blather. These popinjays really think the world of themselves, don't they.
It would sure be helpful if the media would identify ANSWER et al. properly. The American people are owed truthfulness in reporting.
