These columns [Wall St. Journal editorial page-->TR] have been blunt in scoring Saudi Arabia for playing a double diplomatic game that claims friendship with America while Saudi citizens finance our terror enemies.
That criticism, however, doesn't extend to Princess Haifa al-Faisal, wife of Prince Bandar, longtime ambassador to the U.S., and by all accounts a generous benefactress in her own right. The princess has been in the news recently for charitable gifts that may have indirectly found their way into the hands of two of the September 11 hijackers. Her Royal Highness released a statement last week saying the charges that she aided the terrorists were "outrageous and completely irresponsible."
