What do you guys think about Arnold Schwarzenegger someday running for the GOP ticket in California?

I think that will be great. In time maybe it will be another actor turned president?

Even as a registered Libertarian, I'd vote for Arnold. I just LIKE the guy!

He won't be a President of the United States unless we amend the Constitution.

Being from Kalipornia, I'd love to see him run. However, he can't run for president. Only people born in the USA can be pres.

I've heard there is a lot of womanizing stories on him. I don't see it.

I would prefer a senate run in 2004 against Barbara Boxer.

What happens if he becomes american?

I thought he was republican.

Can non-American be registered in a political party, such as the Libertarian Party?

First, he cant be President he is not a natural born citizen.

Second, he's a pro-choice Republican, and I dont think he's smart enough to be governor.

not that I am a big fan of arnies brand of republicanism but compared to gray davis arnie in a walk. S##T night stalker richard ramirez would be a viable alternative to grayout

He is an American, but he was not born in America. Only citizens born in this country can run for president or Vice-President.

"No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States. "

Doesn't that mean someone who has become American, can run for president?

If William Safire is correct, Condi Rice will be making a bid for the California governorship...a much better candidate than Arnold.

And he puts (Kennedy) family before politics? No thanks! Ronaldus Maximus was an inclusive conservative and Ahhnuld is not fit to shine RR's shoes. If he was up against PIAPS, I might consider voting for him but otherwise, something bugs me about the guy.

I would like anybody that could start a Republican trend for us here in California.
I am not thrilled about him being so liberal on the social issues. I can understand temporary safty nets, but I am not for socializing everything like he would want to.
