Operation Infinite FReep, Columbia, MO 11-09-02
Streets of Columbia | 11-09-02 | bluesagewoman

Posted on 11/09/2002 12:30:59 PM PST by bluesagewoman

A gentle breeze and balmy weather greeted the Mid-Missouri FReepers this morning, relaxing the tensions of the past year. Funny words, “balmy” which means mild and pleasant, and the word “balm” which is a pleasing ointment that heals. The mid-term elections certainly proved to be a balm pulling America together decisively, and relegating the peaceniks’ agenda back to its hole from which it had emerged. No doubt the peaceniks will still be there every Saturday trying to recapture their glory, but their message is now irrelevant!

Over 30 anti-American leftists stood at the Columbia, Missouri Post Office this morning with their messages soundly defeated. So are they. Three Missouri FReepers may have well been 300 for the responses this morning…dozens of thumbs up. The major difference in the response was the enthusiasm in delivery, often exuberant, always proud. We almost expected a certain Mrs. C to arrive to join the peaceniks now that she is unemployed, soon to be homeless, and in the middle of a career change.

The peaceniks are the far left, however, and the other liberals will soon join them in showing their true agenda for the rest of the country to see. Missouri has seen the light and thrown the lefty notions away. God bless America, our troops, and our President. With the peacenik crowd now a hopeless non-topic, may we say Happy Veteran’s Day to our Veterans, and Happy Birthday to our Marines (Semper Fi)! What a wonderful Nov. 11th this year! Thanks guys!

Great Job Missouri! Thanks for the support!

Veteran's Day is Monday, and a couple of us will be at the flowershop on Providence to show our support for our troops and vets. Join us about 4 or 4:30 if you can be there. Bring signs and flags.

Oh, and ping away!

Oh gag, that woman is still sitting there beating on her drum. What is that supposed to BE anyway? Oh, I know. It is the beat of the Death march......the offical tune (now) of the Missouri Democratic party, hahahahaha.

Happy Veteran's Day (early) to our vets, and God bless our troops! FREEDOM is what it is all about. And God bless our precious FReepers who were standing for FReedom today. The weather was beautiful up here in St. Louis County. How could it be otherwise when the future of Missouri holds so much Talent, hehe. Life is good!

Yeah, she plays it the whole time, military tattoos, badly, endlessly, maddeningly! At least I can turn them off and not listen to it. The symbolism of the drum beating escapes me when they are the ones crabbing about us Beating the Drums of War.

A FReeper named "DEP" sent me a link to a tribute to a veteran from Columbia who died last month. Many folks, even in Columbia, don't realize how much our local papers despise the military, and this country. The papers rarely prints anything kind about our veterans; they refuse to put a flag on their obituary like many of the small town papers will do, or write up the fact there was an honor guard from hundreds of miles away to present the flag and 21 gun salute. DEP was kind enough to send this to us so we didn't miss another one.

LOL! I have the same "art" of being able to tune things out and not hear them.

I don't understand the symbolism either. But then, I don't understand the mindset of the peaceniks in the first place.

God bless you guys. What a beautiful day in Missouri. Kansas, too, although we did not quite pull it out for Adam Taff. I hope we see him as a candidate again.
