Hire 'em or Fire 'em... your last chance to Vote-
self | 11-05-02 | The Heavy Equipment Guy

Posted on 11/05/2002 12:28:12 PM PST by backhoe

No thundering rhetoric here, folks- just a heartfelt, straightforward appeal.

If you haven't voted yet, do it.
Take a friend, tell a neighbor.

Time's running out.
The clintons and their pals still control the democrat party, and they are not done screwing with America and Americans.
That's you and me, friends and neighbors; our relatives, our kids- we deserve better- if we have the courage to seize the power granted us, and use it once again to help America.

Please do it... now.

For further consideration:

-Activate Yourself! --

-Vote... and be D@mned! (vanity, but dead serious)--

Have your say, vote today.

The leftists are the masters at getting out the vote, that's the only way they win elections because they would always lose if all they had was the strength of their policies. Take a Republican cousin, or a neighbor or a friend who needs a ride to the polls. Beat the Democrats at their own game. If the Republicans were half as good at getting out the vote as are the Democrats, the Democrats would never win another election.

BTTT.

Also, if you're not eligible to vote this time, then please take the time to go and register for the next election. Public apathy and uninformed voters are the weak links in a representative republic.

Your comments are welcomed... we have seen the typical fear-mongering and race-baiting here in Georgia that have unfortunately become standard 'rat features of recent elections.
My empirical take is that it isn't working as it used to, but I won't really know if that's true until the votes are tabulated.

Fear is a powerful motivator, but one of diminishing returns- each time it's used, it loses some of its emotional charge.

One other atypical feature of this election is the massive number ( 1,440 last I checked ) of stories revealing vote fraud which surfaced before the election. In my memory, these stories have never appeared until it was much too late to do a thing about it.

Thanks for the bump- the radio just reported turnout as "heavy," and I believe that is a good sign for the Right... we'll see soon enough.

It is a very important civic duty to vote.

You will be deciding who will, for the next few years, be making our laws and, for years afterward, be making our license plates.

Liberals Gone Wild!--The frustration with Bush & Co. has driven a few almost to the point of clinical madness. It's  easier to think of the  rabid denizens of the left as religious fanatics-- because that's what they  are. What drives them all nuts is that their march to an impossible utopia is not running the way their dearest hopes imagine it should, and someone must be to blame.

Democrats: The Outing Party

Patterico has a good roundup of links on the latest Democratic “outing” of a supposedly gay Republican: Lefty Blogger Outs Senator As Gay. This Michael Rogers guy is one of the most repellent figures on the political scene today, and we can only hope that his ugly work results in a major backlash against Democrats who benefit from it. link: 161 comments  " I'm not amused by all this at all. It goes to the heart of the unseriousness of the Democrats who think that outing politicians they don't like is justified in the pursuit of power and goes against everything the Democrats supposedly stand for."

Drive-By Media and Democrats Collude, Giddy Over The Conventional Wisdom

Folks, they are the DRIVE BY MEDIA-- "The mainstream media … are drive-by shooters. This is exactly what they are. They pull up to a congested area; they spray a hail of bullets into the crowd, causes mass hysteria, mass confusion, mistakes and misinterpretation. Sometimes people or their careers actually die. The mainstream media then smirks and pats itself on the back, says, "Look what we can do," and they ride away unnoticed in the excitement. They are never blamed; they are never held accountable. In fact, they are lauded, they are held up as heroes, mostly by themselves. But they are. They just troll around looking for any issue they can to get everybody all worked up, creating hysteria. It is like a drive-by shooter. It's like road rage every day. That's what the mainstream press has become." -Rush Limbaugh

Drive by Media

The astonishingly low quality of reportage by the Drive-By Media continues to amaze, and depress me.

Journalism, particularly the television variety, has become a bizzare amalgam of Max Headroom and Mad Max...

The Hysteria Continues

Talk about steeped in BDS, get a load of this tripe:

In November, a clear majority of Americans will vote for a Democratic-Party controlled Congress. But will their votes be counted? Karl Rove, in predicting a Republican victory in the House, as well as the Senate, may have already planned fraud. But if the Democrats DON’T win the House, with the polls showing them up by 15% and the Wall Street Journal showing support of the Republican Congress at a mind-boggling low 16%, wouldn’t people riot in the streets?

#1: Only a BDS riddled conspiracy theorist would believe that a “clear majority” of Americans will vote Democrat. Get your head out of your ass and do some traveling outside your liberal cave.

#2: Only a BDS riddled moron would have already forgotten that the polls were wrong during the last election because BDS riddled liberals deliberately inflated them, and then couldn’t figure out why they didn’t reflect reality.

(Even if fairly counted, the Democrats will not get near the seats that they would if the United States were a democracy premised on “one person-one vote”. The only thing I find more scary in November than the hackable Diebold election machines is the quite open gerrymandering that assures Republicans will be elected far out of proportion to the votes of the American People for them.)

Excuse me, but aren’t you nutjob conspiracy hacks the same people who screamed about hanging chads? The same screeching idiots that insisted on a “better” way to vote? How stupid can you be?

And don’t miss the comments, pure liberal BDS idiocy.

Update: Seems that all Diebold voting machines and attached machines and software must be controlled by Republicans. Again, how stupid can these people be? Rather than taking a look at the real reasons they lost, they continue to spin conspiracy theories guaranteeing that they will never figure out the real problem.

(hat tip: Keepandbear)

A Vote For A Democrat Is A Vote For Impeachment

From FrontPage Magazine:

John Conyers swears in Joe Wilson, Cindy Sheehan and Ray McGovern at the "Downing Street Memo" pretend hearings.

The Coming Impeachment

by Rocco DiPippo

A plan is in place to censure and impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney. Orchestrated and organized by the radical Left and Congressman John Conyers, Jr., this plan is ready to go should the Democratic Party take control of the House of Representatives in November.

The committed activists Conyers spoke of include:

* International ANSWER;
* its founder, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark (who has advised Conyers on impeachment issues);
* Center for Constitutional Rights lawyer Barbara Olshansky, who advises Conyers on impeachment related issues and wrote a book on impeaching Bush that has served as a template for H.R.635;
* the National Lawyers Guild;
* Veterans for Peace;
* Workers World Party; and
* most of the 911 'truth' movement.

But the most committed and influential of those pro-impeachment groups, and the ones that gathered most of the signatures that Conyers uses as his justification for H.R.635, are AfterDowningStreet and ImpeachPAC. Both are directed by a rising star of the radical Left, David Swanson.

It all comes down to this

If you have liberal friends, don't even argue with them. Just congratulate them on their inevitable win and make sure to tell them the election is a done deal in favor of the Democrats. Most people won't vote in an off year election if they think their vote won't matter. I pulled this routine on a liberal friend of mine and guess what? She WON'T be voting this year because she figures there's no need to. Hee! Hee!

The GOP victory?

Readers Eric Solum and HNAV alert us to the hilarously contrarian electoral forecast in the cover story of the new issue of Barron's. The story is "Survivor! The GOP Victory." Barron's bases its electoral forecast on analysis of the candidates' warchests and notes that its method is less accurate in Senate races (where it ascribes 89 percent accuracy to the method) than in House races (where it ascribes 93 percent accuracy to the method as a predictor in races going back to 1972, 98 percent more recently). Our analysis -- based on a race-by-race examination of campaign-finance data -- suggests that the GOP will hang on to both chambers, at least nominally.  Permalink

DAN RIEHL THINKS that the Dems are blowing it. His analysis may be a bit hopeful, but we've certainly seen some significant mistakes in the past few days. Plus, the "outing fever" among the activist left is very distasteful, and is generating blowback. It looks very hypocritical coming from people who've spent the last several years warning about Republican threats to privacy, and it also bespeaks an unprincipled hunger for victory and power at any cost. (Some of them are visibly worried about this, and they should be. But it's a bit late.)

MAGAZINE SHOCK: REPUBLICANS WILL HOLD CONGRESS

In for a penny - in for a pound (Just voted early in Nevada, heavy turnout)

Memphis

 I thought earlier this week when I saw the Corker campaign ad (above) about Harold Ford that it was devastating. Offhand, I can't think of a more devastating campaign ad that I have ever seen based on simple statements of facts. The ad seems to have rattled Harold Ford and had something to do with the apparent desperation on his part that Glenn Reynolds puzzles over (with several video links) here. Ford refers to the ad in the second video news clip posted here (Ford says the ad criticizes his appearance, while in fact the ad says he looks good on television, i.e., it implies that he is glib), and Hugh Hewitt comments on the video news clip here.

JOHN adds: If you haven't already seen it, this is the local news coverage of Ford's bizarre attempt to crash Corker's press conference. The wheels appear to be coming off the Ford campaign:
