Fraud a Part of Demos' Senate Strategy?

2002-10-31

BY THEIR nature political campaigns are not for faint of heart. It ain't beanbag, as they say. Even so, what Democrats are doing in a handful of pivotal races for the U.S. Senate is outrageous, because the central strategy seems to take aim at integrity of the electoral process itself.

Let's start with New Jersey, where incumbent Democratic Sen. Robert Torricelli grappled all year with ethics problems before deciding -- in the shadow of daunting poll numbers -- that he couldn't beat challenger Douglas Forrester and abruptly dropped out of the race.

The state's Democratic machine whirred into action, pulling former Sen. Frank Lautenberg out of mothballs to replace Torricelli -- while asking the state's Supreme Court to order new election ballots printed, bypassing the deadline for such changes spelled out in state law.

You'd expect that kind of emergency remedy if a candidate died, as what happened in Minnesota, or had become suddenly incapacitated, but not merely to bring in a sub for a corrupted pol who was about to be drubbed at the polls.

No matter. Democrats unashamedly demanded a change in the rules in the middle of the contest. And New Jersey's high court, dominated by Democrats, allowed it.

Move on to Iowa, where incumbent Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin last month had to accept the resignation of his campaign manager after a Harkin supporter secretly taped a strategy meeting of his opponent, U.S. Rep. Greg Ganske.

As if that weren't enough, the Des Moines Register reports Iowa Republicans want an investigation into whether the Democrats' aggressive campaign to turn out absentee ballots also included elements of fraud.

The state's GOP claims there have been reports of multiple applications for absentee ballots bearing the same or similar signatures, and that the absentee ballots of some Republican voters have been picked up by Democrats and, presumably, lost.

Sounds a little like what's going on in South Dakota, where Democrats' voter registration drives on Native American reservations are being investigated for fraud. There's real concern the tight Senate race between Democratic incumbent Tim Johnson and Republican John Thune won't be on the up and up.

Same thing in Arkansas, where Republicans accuse Democrats of registering dead people and businesses to vote in the close race between incumbent GOP Sen. Tim Hutchinson and Democrat Mark Pryor.

Said state GOP chairman Marty Ryall: "It makes me wonder, that if you have the Democratic Party behind voter fraud in South Dakota, and Arkansas is a key race, is this a national effort by the Democratic Party to steal elections and steal the Senate?"

Good question.

Please contact your State GOP Chairman if you find evidence of any fraud in your state and do it immediately after witnessing.

It is imperative that all of us be on the lookout for fraud in this election because the Clinton DemocRATs will do anything to retain power in the Senate! And I mean anything!

Fraud isn't part of the Demos' Senate strategy.

It is the Demos' Senate strategy.

These are the same people who hired a telemarketing firm to call people in Florida to convince them to claim that they had been duped into voting for the wrong presidential candidate in 2000. They hired them BEFORE the election.

This is systemic, and it is continuing. Anybody who thinks the Democrats believe in playing by the rules is in denial.

And the state GOP chairman had "ask" if there was fraud going on??????????

Is he actually THAT STUPID?

Or is the entire republican party (national level) so incredibly STUPID that they haven't figured it out yet?

Isn't that the truth! After that Wellstone memorial turned campaign rally, it is evident that the entire DemocRAT Party has become clintonized.

RNC has totally figured it out! As have many of the State Parties. Most don't want to come right out and say there is fraud because then the press (my paper excluded) turn on them big time!

I was on the phone with a friend in Florida on election day. In the background the TV was announcing a news bulletin. This was at about 10:30 or 11:00 IN THE MORNING. They were saying that senior citizens were complaining that they think may have voted for Buchanan by mistake.

In retrospect, this was a pre planned coordinated effort to subvert the election.

I suspect the dems know they were going to lose and made this fraudulent complaint as a last ditch effort to steal the election. Throw out the military ballots and create chaos among the condo commandos.

PhiKapMom,
Sorry to be dense, but who do you report any suspected fraud to? The workers at the polling place? The Supervisor of Elections?

BTW, did you see where G.W., First LADY Laura, and Cheney are all going to Minnesota to help Coleman? Talk about calling out the BIG GUNS! Beautiful!

They have it planned for this election as well. Perhaps not the same technique, but they will not allow the Republicans to control the Senate.

That simply would not be acceptable to them, and the reason is that the Supreme Court for the next generation is what is REALLY at stake.

Unless we absolutely swamp them in the election on Tuesday, something which is probably unlikely, we can expect to see every dirty trick imaginable.

We will not eke out a narrow uncontested victory. The Dems won't allow it.

I would recommend calling your State Party Headquarters. I know here in OK during the Right to Work vote we were instructed to call OK GOP ASAP.

Here is the link for State Parties:

OK....I'm going to be a "poll watcher" for the first time ever (NOT an "observer", just a "watcher"... an "observer" requires training, LOL) anyone have any suggestions.....? It appears I'll be moving from poll to poll (if I want to) or I could stay in my neighborhood.

The Republican campaigns I am aware of have been campaigning like they are behind and taking nothing foregranted. They need to build the fraud into their calculations to turn out every extra vote.

The Clinton DemocRATS will stop at nothing to maintain control of the Senate and I mean nothing!

I saw on another post earlier this evening that the ACU (not ACLU) is setting up a fraud watch. Had a phone number and email: voterfraud@conservative.org
