Memorial Service and political rally on now.
Gee, he'd need a superbowl sized stadium just to fit all of the women he's groped and wish he had time to grope. Gosh, he might have to buy more land around his Library just to erect it.
I bet he'd have an undress, er ah, I mean several dress rehearsals just to make sure that all goes as he planned so he gets to enjoy the beaming elephantine adoration and celebratory fanfare of his glorious legendary self. He'd probably write the speeches for everyone so they know exactly what to say and tape one of himself as the liberal mainstream media just goes wildly and happily agogging.
Before giving her the death penalty, the jury asked over and over to see a news clip of her laughing, chewing gum, and spraying silly string all over their graves.
That absolutely devastated her defense.
I suspect this might sink the Clintons.
I think outrage is an appropriate thing to express when we see something outrageous.
I'll admit one notable exception, which was Rick Khan, a family friend who did go off the deep end, and was clearly off script in doing so. The eldest Wellstone son, who followed him, was visibly surprised.
The sons did OK, but were not great speakers and were obviously and admittedly working off of handwritten notes on a single piece of paper. They repeated themselves frequently, trailed off, and said things like, "My mom was so great, I just cannot tell you." They were hardly coached political operatives. When the youngest son tried to finish by getting the crowd to chant some slogan I can't remember, he was notably unsuccessful.
Well, the public's verdict on the Wellstone / Mondale Necrofest appears to be in.
The masterful spin attempts by the late, unlamented 'LionelHutz' and others ground to a halt against an insurmountable obstacle -- reality.
It's difficult to convince people that what they just saw never really happened.
Unless, of course, they're Democrats.

*LOL* Thanks! I'm proud of this one because 1) I think this is the longest Thread I ever initiated here at FR and, 2) caused the most Hell to be raised with FReeper activism and call-ins than any other I started. I just wish some of the mug-shots that graced the original posting of this event were available on personal websites.
Amen to that, and it's nice to say Hello to the starter of this 'thread that will live in infamy'. :)
