As the sniper killings continue, many theories have been put forth. One of the most interesting has been expressed by Dr. Eugene Narrett, an author of a book on the Oslo agreements that were supposed to end the hostilities between the Palestinian Authority and the nation of Israel. He notes that, "Beginning in 1995, during the first Clinton administration, the CIA began training Palestinians as long-distance snipers." "This was typical of the madness of Oslo and it was justified as being part of the 'security arrangements' of the Interim Accords. Ostensibly and for public consumption these US-trained Arab snipers would help prevent infractions of the holy Oslo charade. The far more plausible scenario that they would use their US supplied skills and equipment to murder Israelis and Americans seems to have weighed little with our 'intelligence' officers."
One might ordinarily just file Dr. Narrett's nugget of information away, but Mary Mostert, a skilled analyst whose Internet site is always worth visiting, recently took note of the fact that "Strangely, no report that I have read even mentions the amazing similarity these sniper attacks have with similar sniper attacks in the past two years in Israel by Palestinian terrorists." Of the 627 people killed by Palestinian terrorists during this period, "at least 135 of them were killed by snipers, one at a time."
Given the huge federal law enforcement force, plus the local authorities, employed in finding the Beltway Sniper, one would think some progress would have been made by now. Clearly, the investigation is now under the control of the FBI, but still the sniper eludes capture. Whoever he is, he is obviously skilled, both as a shooter and in anticipating and avoiding capture. That suggests special training.
Is our sniper one who our own CIA trained? Is he trained by al Qaeda? Or is he just a lone serial killer? The tarot card left behind suggests the third option, but the first two options raise questions of whether a trained killer is acting on orders from some organization. A Muslim sniper killed several CIA employees some years back before returning to the Middle East. Does that negate the CIA-Palestinian connection? That leaves an al Qaeda option.
It took years to capture the Son of Sam serial killer and decades to find the Unabomber. We may have to wait a long time to learn who is doing the killing and maybe a lot longer to find out who may have been issuing the orders.
In the meantime, as the nation girds for war with Iraq, the fear that the sniper has created has generated just the right frame of mind to support it. It also drives news about the November 5th elections off of center stage.

They're wrong. All the evidence points to Elvis.

Yassar was the most prominent visitor to the clinton white house. The clintons supported the palis. The clintons have supported radicals their whole lives. Well at least hillery has. Bill just wants to eat and get laid and have everyone worship him.

Even if 99% of them can't hit the broadside of a barn, they only need to export that remaining one here.
However I can't see a PA terrorist leaving clues. I think its more of someone on a power trip.

This guy doesn't need to be an expert sniper by any stretch of the imagination, so it's entirely plausible.
Personally though, I think whoever is doing it is under orders from Saddam to stir things up

Personally though, I think whoever is doing it is under orders from Saddam to stir things up That would be stupider than when he invaded Kuwait. If he wants his political partners- the Democrats- to turn against him, that would be the right way to go about it. Then he'd have zero support in the US.

Is .223 a poor choice for shooting people?
If so, why is the shooter using a .223?
And why are so many of his victims dead?
The mortality rate from his single shot seems higher than many people who are shot multiple times in point-blank street shootings with larger caliber rounds.
Any ideas why the shooter's choice of .223 caliber and why so deadly?

Bill wanted to get laid even as Yasser awaited him in the White House. LOL!

It took years to capture the Son of Sam serial killer It did? I seem to remember it was six months or so.

Why would democrats start supporting America, over the killing a few folks around Wash. D.C.? After 3,000 were killed in NY last year, many democrats continued to fail to defend America.
To: Tailgunner Joe
One would think that if there are CIA-trained pal snipers out there that we would have seen far more of their handiwork over the years......

No, not laid...just a 'Lewinski'.

How do we know for sure the real shooter left those clues?
I suppose we don't, but I can't see someone walking through a forest, hearing a gunshot and dropping a tarot card that says "Dear Policeman, I am God" on it.
As for the brass they found at one location, that could be a decoy planted by the sniper.

Well, truth_seeker, that's true. But the democrats would not be able to argue effectively against the outrage of the GOP if it turned out that a democrat- Saddam- were behind the shootings. Even if they didn't accept it, they'd be checkmated on the issue.
