Toogood Reports [Tuesday, October 15, 2002; 12:01 a.m. EST] URL: http://ToogoodReports.com/ I had never heard of Ira Einhorn until he was recently extradited to the United States from France. The key issue in the extradition was whether he would face the death penalty. The authorities in Pennsylvania had to forego the death penalty in order to get the French to extradite Einhorn. He was variably described as a peace activist or a hippie. Ironically, this peace activist had murdered his girlfriend. That is the source of his legal problems. So a man who was an opponent of the war in Viet Nam, who was opposed to armed men killing other armed men in defense of their nation´s security (the stated reason for the Viet Nam war) thought it a perfectly good idea to murder a woman he supposedly loved. ....

That really is a good article. Very thought-provoking with lots of good points. I believe the 60s started the ruination of this country. The "love" was really all about love of self and contempt for others.

Today liberalism has devolved into an incoherent philosophy that seems to espouse loving people in general but often hating them as individuals. Liberalism has, as its underlying philosophy, a creed which is at once self-evident and wrong. It should be noted, though, that the philosophy of liberalism exists not as a basis for action, but rather as a means of justifying actions undertaken for a far more sinister purpose: to create a nation (world) of sheep.

You are correct. It was about love of self and contempt for the 'establishment': parents, schools, churches, government. Any established entity was to be brought down. The main problem the drug-dazed hippies had was the lack of a plan for replacing the established elements of our society. They just wanted to smear and ruin as much as possible. Today we see the left-over remnants of the hippie rantings in the Clintonoids.

It was about love of self and contempt for the 'establishment': parents, schools, churches, government. In the interest of 'encouraging innovation', liberals undermine it by encouraging people to strike out on their own rather than building upon established work. The goal is to destroy the human spirit among the masses by making any notion of "achievement" meaningless.

The TRT guy was even packing (legally). Goes to show that the left talks peace and love but walks coercion, violence and hate.
