Today the Senate will approve and send to President Bush a landmark bill that will upgrade voting machines and begin to curb the voter fraud that is creeping into too many close elections. It can't come soon enough. Last week, a massive vote-fraud scandal broke out in a U.S. Senate race in Tom Daschle's home state of South Dakota that could determine control of that body.

It should be easy to tally the number of voters who used a Death Certificate to register to vote.

In his last election Daschle received about 166,000 votes. Imagine that. Hardly anyone voted for him and look at all the power he has.

But what's worse is the one vote he received from Jim Jeffords. Jeffords committed the worst voter fraud in recent memory when he used Republicans to get elected then arranged for Daschle to get a choke hold on the whole damn country. Both these dogs, Daschle and Jeffords will have their day. "W" is going to hand them both their hats. Just watch.

The law Congress is passing addresses some of the problems the federal government created with the 1994 Motor Voter Law.

Of course,Motor Voter increased Voter Fraud.That was it's whole intent.

Let's hope the latest scandal in South Dakota--uncovered only due to incredibly sloppy cheating--

BULLSH*T! All across America voter fraud is incredibly sloppy. What is happening in South Dakota are local elected officials are doing their jobs and alerting law enforcement to fraud.

I remind everyone that Dewey County's Auditor and State's Attorney are both Democrats (not my favorite party). But unlike so many other places in America, they put their oath of office and integrity ahead of political party!

This is where it counts, people. All voting is local. Only if the integrity of local officials is solid is the election honest.
