Dr. Abdullah Al Turki, secretary general of the Muslim World League, said Islamic communities around the world strongly condemned the Fox News program 'Hannity and Colmes' on Sept. 18 in which televangelist Pat Robertson was given free hand to abuse Islam and the prophet Mohammad.
About the prophet, Robertson said: 'This man was an absolute wild eyed fanatic. He was a robber and a brigand. And to say that these terrorists distort Islam, they are carrying out Islam.'
Instead of challenging these hate filled remarks, program host Sean Hannity said: 'Reverand, how widespread do you think that fanatical interpretation is? Do you think it is mainstream? Or do you think it is the majority of Muslims?'
After Robertson replied by calling Islam 'a monumental scam,' Hannity said: 'So Islam is a bigger threat than most people are willing to say publicly?..' Do you think it is inevitable, then, that the world is going to be in conflict, perhaps even at war, with Islam for many decades to come?'
In the programs second segment, Robertson said 'The Koran is strictly a theft of Jewish theology. I mean this man (Mohammad) was a killer. And to think that this religion is peaceful is fraudelent.'

I wonder if that includes the women as well?

Is this wise?
Before doing so, keep in mind that a) these people are fanatics, and b) you will give them your e-mail address and possibly your real name.
It will take more than a few angry e-mails to persuade these people.

I'm kind of surprised that a Saudi newspaper carried the Robertson quotes in full. If Saudi had really good censorship like in China, that would not have happened. I suspect that another editor of this newpapers will soon have his employment terminated like the other guy a while back.

Since I am presently about 1/3 through reading the Quo-ran, I can say with certainty that the Quo-ran is a simplistic, redundant, myopic, intolerant rant against the Jewish, and Christian peoples of the world. The main thrust being a simplistic "heads I win, tales you lose" argument, that the Jews and Christians must be condemned for not abiding by the Mosaic law, and the Gospels. However, as far as Christians are concerned, the Christian is condemned for not following Christs teachings, and yet the Quo-ran says Christ is not the Messiah, and thus his teachings are invalid. As far as all of the great religions are concerned Islam is a excercise in stupidity.

Hey Dr. Abdullah Al Turki:
Any thoughtful individual who knows history and religion would be anti-Islam. Along with Communism, Naziism, and the Black Death, Islam has been responsible for more death and destruction on the face of the planet than anything since the last asteroid impact. Islam was started by predators. It has spread by predation. It has lived off the decaying corpses of the civilizations it has destroyed. It is a vast, ancient sea of corruption, oppression, fanaticism, and ignorance lapping against the shores of the present. It retains a measure of power in the modern world only by the fortuitous accident of living above huge reserves of petroleum.
