Teddy Kennedy on Fox News arguing against war
Fox News | 9-27-02 | Teddy Kennedy

Posted on 09/27/2002 8:15:41 AM PDT by bonesmccoy

Teddy Kennedy is arguing against military intervention in Iraq. These words transcribed as he speaks... "As I said earlier, we still don't know the fate, location, or operational capacity of Osama Bin Ladin but we do know that Al Queda is still there and here. But, we don't know when where or how this will happen. CIA director has testified that Al Queda remains a serious threat to our country... even if the Taliban out of power.. Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...

Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...

United Nations is far from convinced

The Democrats care more about their re-election than having cogent and rational discussion on national security issues.

Some operatives have faded into the woodwork . . .

Democrats in Congress and France and Russia in the UN... America's (and Freedom's) most virulent opponents of the last 50 years once again standing in the way of her defense.

It's so transparent. The Democrats are making political hay out of Iraq and pointing fingers at the Pubs. Their polling data must be devastating!

Osama is so much pink mist at this point, but who's counting droplets? Al Qaeda is being protected by Iraq, plus it's in Pakistan, Sudan and several other countries. Iraq's the most dangerous of those now, Senator Drunkard!
Afghanistan is still fragile... our reconstruction effort is halting and inadequate...
I'm sorry, were you looking for the first Afghan 7-Eleven franchise before or after the next attack on the US?
Some operatives have faded into the woodwork...Karzai is still struggling... Pakistan is far from certain...
So, if I understand you right, Ted, we're supposed to put everything on hold until it's right before we go after the next terrorists on the list?
What a maroon! United Nations is far from convinced

Kennedy: "Israel will retailliate possibly with nuclear weapons... this escalation spirals out of control... there is a fundamental threat to Israel.

Nor can we rule out the possibility that Saddam will assault US forces with chemcial and biolgoical weapons...

Just under 70,000 have been mobilized for the War against Terrorism... if we embark on the war against Iraq... our force strength will be stretched even thinner...

If we must take that course, our burden should be shared with allies and that is less likely if war becomes an immediate response...

As I said on the other thread, when the next attack comes, remember it is the Democrats who are leading the charge FOR them.

This is unbelievable.

SUMMARY

Bush did the right thing in Afghanistan, but Iraq would be too hard.

The rats have alot of nerve. They sit on their hands for 8 years and do nothing to protect our country and now, this entire week, they have critized the Bush administration in an orchestrated attack.

The Bush administration has taken the bull by the horns and are trying to save this country from future attacks.
