Don't know anything about this polling firm. These results are outside the MOE. Eleven other polls, including a Zogby one last week, showed results within MOE.

This poll also shows Huckabee leading Fisher 49-43%, significantly closer than other polls. Zogby had that race as 51-36%.

BTW, the Zogby poll was done Aug 8-11, not last week.

It's a family business, dontcha know. Old daddy David just had to work out the inheritance problem with the right people in and from Arkansas. Fact is, a lot of them probably think it is David running for re-election. Some parts of Arkansas don't get the Grand Ol Opry until Monday morning.

There was a Hutchinson-Pryor debate televised last evening. Pryor came across as cool, calm, and knowledgeable. Hutchinson came across as defensive, nervous, unsure. On presentation style, Pryor won this one. They may have others before the election.

LOL. Life truly exists in the eye of the beholder. To me Pryor came across as Mr Smarm, Clinton redux. Hutchinson was a bit nervous but taht was all about the divorce thing.

By the end he was out debating Mr Smarm hands down.

That may explain why an online poll I saw earlier this morning showed almost a perfect 50/50 split of who was perceived to have won the debate. :-)

WRONG, IMO! It was just the opposite. Pryor was very nervous and besides he is a LIAR just like his "wonderful" father. A family of Clinton butt kissers ROYALE.

Donrey Media Group renamed to Stephens Media Group The Donrey Media Group, which publishes 21 newspapers in eight states, is changing its name to Stephens Media Group, effective immediately. Sherman Frederick, president and chief executive officer of Stephens Media Group, said "our new name reflects the Stephens family's commitment to excellence in the newspaper industry."

The Little Rock-based Stephens Group and its chairman, Jack Stephens, purchased Donrey Media Group almost nine years ago. Donald W. Reynolds founded Donrey Media Group in 1940 with the purchase of the Okmulgee, Okla., Daily Times and the Southwest Times Record in Fort Smith. In 1954, he established the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, a philanthropic foundation based in Las Vegas.

Stephens bought the Donrey Media Group in 1993 after Reynolds' death that same year.

"Under Jack, Warren and Witt Stephens, Donrey has invested significant resources in the newspapers that have improved the quality of each and their ability to serve the communities in which they are published" said Frederick.

"Our goal will be to continue to build on what Mr. Reynolds established and to do everything possible to become recognized as the best newspaper group in the country," Warren Stephens said.

Stephens newspapers are in Arkansas, Hawaii, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. The company also owns theWeb site portal lasvegas.com and co-owns hawaii.com in partnership with the Gannett company.

The Riadys' links to Bill Clinton date back to Little Rock. In 1984, the Riady family bought a bank after Riady met Stephens, the two formed a Hong Kong-based financing operation and United Pacific Trading Co., financed partly by Lippo.

In the early 1980s, Riady decided he liked Arkansas enough to deepen his involvement here. Riady, with Jack and Witt Stephens, bought a controlling interest in First Arkansas Bankstock Corp., which owned Worthen Bank and other smaller banks.

Riady's son James, then in his 20s, bought a home in Little Rock and went to work at Worthen as co-president. k with Arkansas financier Jack Stephens.

But as Clinton's star rose, Riady and Lippo followed.

John Huang, a longtime Riady employee and Worthen vice president, helped raise funds for Clinton's presidential bid in 1992. And Lippo donated large sums to support Clinton's 1996 re-election bid.
