Dot Communist Rats: Admit Spreading Propaganda at Free Republic! Part 2
8-3-02 | Republican_Strategist

Some of you may have followed my thread yesterday about Dot Communist Rats infiltrating Free Republic and I’d like to follow up by respond to a post the Rat made.

Dot Communist Rats: Admit Spreading Propaganda at Free Republic!

The Response from the RAT:

Greetings,

I am the one previously called not_a_sheep. I apologize for creating such a stir in this forum, and this will be my last post here, and my last visit. Lord knows, you people are paranoid enough, and I don't want to intrude on the comfortable shell you have here. Suffice it to say that this was done for a school project, and you guys have helped me achieve what I needed to achieve. I thank you for that. If any of you had actually READ my post, you would have known that it was not "liberal", nor "propaganda", but expressed an opinion about the very freedoms you seem to so passionately advocate. The very fact that my thread was pulled, and that many of you have stooped to name-calling is exactly what I expected, and what my whole diatribe was about. I want to thank you as eloquently as possible for proving my point.

I do not disagree with you folks on all issues. I am an open-minded person who seeks wisdom from a variety of sources. Yes, I do frequent democrats.com(and many other forums) - that neither makes me a RAT, or a Communist, or a bad person. Your association with FreeRepublic doesn't make you any of the things that you claim liberals call you. I will not repeat them here, because, unlike many of you, I do NOT believe that name-calling and/or slander advances any cause. Again, this was one of the main points of my original post to begin with. I came to your site to initiate an intelligent debate on the merits of the 1st Amendment - and the initial discussion was both thoughtful and polite. I appreciate that. I did not come here advocating any "liberal", "communist", "subversive", or even "Democratic" principles, because while I may believe that some of these are worth discussing with you folks, I respect your forum enough NOT to bait, or engage you in such a manner.

I know by some of the tones I read here, that some of you are beyond thoughtful discourse. That's fine, call me a RAT a million times if it makes you feel better.

To the rest of you, who maybe know a little something about respect, honor, courtesy, and reason; I hope that this episode teaches all of us something today. After all, for me it's just A's or B's, for you guys, this is obviously something you all feel very strongly about, and I truly admire that.

God Bless America!

"In Germany they came first for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, but I did not speak up because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the trade-unionists, but I did not speak up because I was not a trade-unionist. Then then they came for the Catholics, but I did not speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me and by that time there was no one left to speak up." - Rev. Martin Niemoller

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"People who are willing to give up freedom for the sake of short term security, deserve neither freedom nor security." - Benjamin Franklin

Well, I’m glad we have the post here because what it does is show the capacity of the person who wrote it to even continue to lie even when caught and it goes to show you why people like him supported Bill Clinton through 8 years of treason and corruption without the slightest bit of shame. The true intention was to come in here an masquerade as a conservative and express dislike of the current administration in hopes of squelching support and in that way this person could get Al Gore or someone of that caliber in the White House.

The individual that wrote this never intended for me to actually stumble across two of his posts at Democrats.com and find that he was plotting and asking others to join in in a campaign to lead conservatives astray. Personally I found it to be insulting that these leftists would not only stoop so low as to masquerade as conservatives and then think they could see, but to deny it at this point is ludicrous.

God save the public school system if that was indeed the type of things they are having students do. Yes, go forth and raid conservative web sites and watch them delete your posts. Several people noted they were deleted when they entered left wing forums, but never did they masquerade as liberals. All and all it was a petty excuse for outright attempts to deceive people.

Of course it is propaganda and you even admitted to it. Also, I’d like to note that Democrats.com doesn’t tolerate dissent nor do they allow conservatives the freedoms you linger on about. You just negate the fact that people can form private associations and they can set up their own rules. I’m not the least bit touched by your desperate plea for you sinister behavior to be excused.

So in the end, you not only arrogantly refuse to concede your wrongdoing, but you even have the galls to thanks us for doing “what you wanted us to do.” Even if we both know you are lying. So, what is good for us isn’t good for Democrats.com and you come here asking for tolerance when your own forum doesn’t show any. So spare me the sanctimonious drivel.

Why did you even bother saying you disagree with us? As if we didn’t know already. If you disagree with everything I stand for like the constitution, then yes, I’d say you are a Dot Communist Rat. You are the type of people that are working hard against the constitution and you are trying to turn America into a socialist nation, but in some diluted way you still claim that is freedom.

Now, you say Slander doesn’t advance a view, but you seem to think that deceiving people and pretending to be part of their political affiliation makes you any more honest. I just have to balk at such an absurd assertion. You ride around as if you are on a high horse. Ann Coulter as more than established in her new book that liberals do nothing but slander the right. We did more than call you a dot communist rat; I found two of your posts that incriminated you.

In fact, at your little Democrats.com forum, we are referred to as “repiggies.” Democrats.com has what it calls “right wing spin control.” It basically relabeled web sites like the free republic. We are supposed to be right wing fruitcakes or right wing crazies. So you why don’t you go make changes at your own forum before coming here and telling us to do nothing in light of your propaganda?

Read this article at Newsmax.com Marxist Thuggery on the Internet

You can say 50 times, 100 times, or 1,000,000 million times, but in the end you cam here with the express purpose of propagandizing. Anyway, the first amendment protects the people from the government silencing free speech and not people like you coming into private forums like this. Sorry, but you are blurring the line. All you have done is lie to cover up what can only be described as subversive and mendacious. Have no fear; we will continue to call you the rat you most definitely are. Plenty of people in here including myself will.

Here is what two of your heroes said..

The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie - deliberate, contrived and dishonest - but the myth - persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. --JFK, June 11, 1962

You know I am a juggler, and I never let my right hand know what my left hand does. I'm perfectly willing to mislead and tell untruths...FDR, May 1941 (Morgan p 550)

I thought the fact that DUmmies routinely try to cause trouble over here was a given; standard ops. They are fairly easy to spot.

I am a happy extreme extremist who quit the GOP almost 2 yrs ago, suspects W of being a commie fellow traveller busy at implementing the Marxist-Leninist programme and finds Buchanan way too soft for what America needs today - I would fully embrace Annie Coulter if she wasn't so much in bed (and strangely so) with W Republicans. Even with such an innocent and pure background as mine I couldn't last at DU for 30 minutes. Not that I really wanted to stay there - I am not a masochist. Talking about 'freedom of speech'.

As a longtime lurker myself here I would guess that the poster is a "she" not a "he."

Based on this post, I would guess the lurker in question is "Laughin Willow" one of the forum moderators at www.hippy.com.

She tends to attack anyone more conservative than her as "Sheep" (therefore her now banned screen name) and sign her messages with quotes from Martin Luther King and Ben Franklin (not to mention Bob Marley).

She is a frequent instigator over at another message board http://www.fingerlakes1.com/forums.html where she now posts as "Scowlin Willow" after "Laughin Willow" was banned for --I think-- obscenties and threats on the President.

For a long time, her sig line there read "Jesus was a communist and sheep get slaughtered."

She may also be a perpetual student (She was going to school in State College, PA, for a while, whether she's still there or not, I don't know).

You mean anyone who does not revere and support everything Jorge Bush does is a secret disruptor? His stands on immigration, the new way nonsense and his general namby pamby can't we all just get along bs pisses me off. Maybe you think searching old ladies at airports while giving Middle Eastern males a free pass is a good policy. I don't. And this pandering to all these agrieved groups is in the future going to ensure the demise of the US. The man has obviously put his political ambitions ahead of the interests of you and me.

One of the trademarks of the left wing fascist is to build a straw man and argue against it. The above paragraph, with its subtext of wounded feelings and noble intent, is one such example of this kind of propaganda.

I read this individual's post yesterday. She rather clumsily built a straw man argument against our "namecalling". Then she ran away and refused to stay and defend her position.

She ran away because she knew there was no defense. Fascists are like bullies that way. Make an "assertion" that is, in actuality, filled with fluff and not with argument, then either run away or accuse the conservative of getting "personal" or engaging in "ad hominem" when called on it.

Today's screed is yet another example of this. Rather than stay and argue, our Hitlerjugend friend chooses to stomp off with a self-righteous assertion of her own nobility.

What crap. What a steaming pile. She doesn't even want to hang around and argue the point. Especially after we found her out over on DU.

Oh well, perhaps she has better things to do.....

...like ask for contributions to the Winter Relief or ask people if they have firearms in their home.

Ja!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Who is "Jorge Bush?" And, I never said that everyone who disagrees with the President is a disruptor. Putting words in other poster's mouths is a desperate and laughable debating tactic.

His stands on immigration, the new way nonsense and his general namby pamby can't we all just get along bs pisses me off. Maybe you think searching old ladies at airports while giving Middle Eastern males a free pass is a good policy. I don't.

I don't accept your scenario. Out of all the Middle Eastern males in the US today, only an extreme miniscule few would try to bomb an aircraft. If you have any sort of proof or substantiation that current government policy is to search old ladies and not search people of Middle Eastern descent, I would be interested in seeing it. Until you can post such a policy, you are merely whining.

And this pandering to all these agrieved groups is in the future going to ensure the demise of the US. The man has obviously put his political ambitions ahead of the interests of you and me.

Bush has "obviously" done no such thing. If you disagree with the way the President governs, I'd suggest you try voting for the other guy next time.

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." - Martin Luther King Jr.

This guy seems to paraphrase famous quotes. I heard a recording of the King speech this quote supposedly comes from recently and what King said would be remembered was more like: "not the vitriolic hatred of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people." His Franklin quote is padded as well. Guess missing his thread wasn't a great loss.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive from treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared"
- Cicero (106-43 B.C.), Roman Statesman
