California police officer arrested for holding illegal aliens as slaves

Five people - including a California police officer - were arrested last week for holding illegal aliens as slaves. Last Monday in Sunnyvale, local police officer David Miller and four area Koreans or Korean-Americans were arrested - all charged with using Miller's status as a police officer to keep illegals working as slaves in local Korean businesses. Miller, Sue Yun Song, Roger K. Li, Sang Ye Han, and Robert Kwong Wong - all of the Sunnyvale area - have also been charged with harboring illegal aliens and money laundering, along with racketeering and other crimes.

According to court papers, the five all worked to hold as slaves Korean illegal aliens - and to keep them working at the two Korean Hostess bars in Sunnyvale and the Ok Yeo Bong, also in Sunnyvale - since June 2000. The bars - and their management - have been under investigation for prostitution during the time since. Court papers state that all three bars recruit young women in Korea, then got them into the U.S. illegally - in exchange for a huge "debt" much like those smuggling Red Chinese illegals require to be worked off once here; one of the Koreans involved, Sang Ye Han, personally traveled to Korea to recruit young women to be illegally brought to the U.S. in exchange for a "debt" to be worked off.

Court papers say that Miller - the local police officer - was essentially hired by the bars' management as enforcer, plus to get advance warning of possible police actions against the bars, access to police databases, and help collecting debts from the illegals by use of his status as a police officer. Miller was paid in terms of cash and sex.

Well its pretty clear to me that only police officers, elected officials and their trusted comrades should be trusted with firearms.

Sorry to sound like a one trick pony on the RKBA, but the ability to defend one's self seems to be the well from which all other rights spring. Without it, slavery.

!!!!!! That police officer, Miller, should be locked away so he can be made some lonely inmates biyotch. And what's the deal with the Koreans? The way the article is writen it sounds like we're not even sure if they're American citizens. It would be poetic justice if we could send them over the border and make them spend some quality time in a Mexican prison.

Anhow, do doubt they will all get a stiff punishment. But I sure would like to see ALL people who practice slavery or treat people like slaves in the United States to get equal punishment. . . . including and especially the Saudi royalty.

This cop here was obviously corrupt and evil, but incidents like this might become more common as police departments continue to ignore federal immigration law. Officers will not be breaking department prodedure by not alerting the INS about illegal aliens, but they can still exploit the illegals by threatening to do so.

I couldn't find this story on any of the mainstream news sources. For a second there I thought it some kind of hoax. But I eventually found information about the case on the FBI website. Right here. Seems the FBI site does not refer to the night club's operations as slavery. But their MO sounds like slavery. But I'm not sure who is more evil in this story, the Koreans or the police officer! But I'd vote for the police officer.

BTW, I live in California. Either I haven't been paying close attention to the mainstream news lately, or the news channels are not making much of a stink over this. My brother hadn't heard about it either. Anyone else from California who did hear about this in the news???

I have the perfect solution. these Koreans can pay the reparations that the black liberals keep whining about. Finally we've found real slave owners who can parcel out the $.16 (after taxes) reparations payments!

God Save America (Please)
