The Bill of Rights at Colorado State

Colorado State University view on the Bill of Rights. Almost a year ago a man was asked to take the bill of rights down from his door. The Bill of Right was there for over a year and there was never a complaint about it. There was in fact several positive comments made to this custodian concerning the Bill of Rights. Both liberal and conservative students could find comfort in at least parts of the document. But last year at the beginning of the new school year this custodian was told to take it down by his superiors. It seems the students didn’t mind the Bill of Rights but the folks who run the school have issues with it. I was told that it was offensive. Funny thing was that there were sax sex poster put up by staff that talked about all sorts of sex acts in sickening detail but that was not considered offensive. Heck there were gay rights posters that showed men kissing and hugging half dressed, I personally found that offensive.
This Custodian was reprimanded be because he voiced his opinion on the matter. Since he has two kids to feed he was in no position to do anything further on the matter. If you have read the Rocky Mountain Rattlesnake you have heard about this before. So I am just bringing up to date those who have not yet heard about it. You see he was allowed to post anything that they didn’t find offensive. Thy wanted him to put up his art work, but he took his art work down anyway. You see at Colorado State University Custodians are second class people. If he had been a professor or worked behind a desk things would have been different. But the way in which custodians are treated at CSU is much like the way colored people were treated in the south 50 years ago. Except they are allowed to share the bathrooms with the upper staff, as long as they clean them.
Now why I bring this up again is to tell you even more about CSU’s on going hatred of the Bill of Rights. They put on a class to help people understand diversity in the work place. When I hear the word Diversity my hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Funny thing is Diversity is the opposite of University. This class was taught by 4 woman in there 40’s and fifties obviously they were heavy influenced by the 1960’s. Now to get one thing straight, I object to racism very much. So I do not like racism. The bible doesn’t ever mention what the color of any ones skin is. So if God doesn’t care what color some ones skin is neither do I. Judge people by their choices they make in life, but not the color of the skin or national origin. We all know if we have half a brain that affirmative action is racism in practice and anyone who supports it is a racist. But this diversity thing was beyond the topic of racism in fact it was only brought up briefly.
At this Diversity training several subjects were brought up. They we told that they had to by CSU’s law accept homosexuals in the work place. Though I do not agree with the choice they make in life, I can still work with them. But when they got to the subject of Christianity, there were not as friendly with them, as they were with homosexuals, but there is no surprise over that. Someone voiced there concern about being preached at, in the work place. The director of this said. We have freedom of speech but that speech is limited, She said that dirty jokes and sex talks was permitted but you had to go to the free speech zone preach to someone that was a the Plaza in front of the student center. CSU say they can limit free speech to one small area if they want to.
When another person ask about Freedom of religion. He was quieted and they quickly told him that the constitution says we have freedom from religion not freedom of. What a lie that was this women was telling. Here is what the First Amendment says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. Do you see freedom from or freedom of? No in fact the text goes beyond just freedom of.
Yes CSU here is in clear violation of the constitution. They are prohibiting the free exercise hereof. Oh yea and about Free speech, talk about abridging that. You are only allowed free speech in the Plaza. Well if your speech is something they like you are allowed. If they had a gay rights rally or an Earth fest it would be acceptable. But what if you wanted to have a prayer gathering you would have to bring it to the plaza. If you wanted to have a pro-gun rally well I bet they wouldn’t even let you do that on the Plaza. As far as CSU thinks the Bill of Rights are only for them, the upper superior class of staff members.
Interesting to note, The people who put on this diversity workshop are from an office dealing with diversity issues. There were all women and all made sure you knew that they were liberal democrats. One of them told us over and over that she was African American seems to me that would make her a racist if that is her identity. I couldn’t care less what race she is thinks she is, it is not important to me. I see her as female.

This man worked very hard. Every now and then my neighbor would pass him some extra money.
One day he was asked by several religious activists on campus to help them "get the Christian", by which they meant to persecute the janitor in various ways.
That day my neighbor went and applied for American immigration.
Interesting that my neighbor found conditions identical to those you report at CSU sufficient grounds to abandon his land of birth, all his friends, his family and everything he had.
You should do likewise. It is acceptable to leave the evil ones to themselves, although it would be decent of you to first help that janitor get a new job.
But... where to?

I guess I'd believe anything of the politically correct, but a major university labeling the Bill of Rights offensive strains even my credulity.
Anyway, if it's true, perhaps the board of directors, if they have such a thing, or their alumni associations need to know. Also, if it's a state school, the state legislature may be interested (if they're not a bunch of Republicans, which'd mean they're probably too scared to speak).
Reminds me of New Orleans last Spring Break. There were drunk teens all over the place. Two YOUNG drunk couples were almost having sex on the sidewalk, right in front of everyone. Drunk kids vomiting everywhere. Drunk college boys falling asleep everywhere. Police horses were pooping on the sidewalk, and streets. No problem, no one cared. BUT IF you had a GLASS BOTTLE... that was a BIG NO NO!!!! Kinda like comparing offensive sex poster to Bill of Rights poster. The world is just upside down now!
