Democrats in Congress purport to be troubled over Halliburton's accounting when Dick Cheney was CEO, even threatening to hold televised hearings. Well, maybe they should. If they're serious, the Members would have to probe the nuances both of asbestos liability and of what the green eye-shades call "percentage of completion" accounting.

two screeds from the ComPost, a press release from the insect McAuliffe,
and a WSJ piece reporting on the Socialists hyperventilating about their fantasy 'scandal'.

hardly 'evidence' of anything but your own wishful thinking.

This is all a ploy by the Trial Lawyers of America.Folks lawyers have way too much control of our country and the day to day operations thereof. This is much more dangerous than the average American realizes!

how does this:

WSJ: Dems have decided on anti-Bush campaign issue. "The November Markets"

... translate into 'evidence' of anything except Socialist wet dreams ?

the pivotal paragraph from the above:

(speaking editorially)
We only hope Justice keeps in mind the requirement of mens rea, or criminal intent, when it's CEO hunting. This legal principle got trampled in the rush to convict Arthur Andersen. If otherwise honest CEOs can be indicted merely for putting their names to a statement that turns out to be false, good luck finding competent executives.

I'm not sure where you're going....The "evidence" I'm referring to is the Dems' using innuendo's -- to freshly link the 'Pubs with business. And, they'll be plenty more in the future if Bush's poll numbers slip.

Thanks for directing me to the Wall STreet Journal editorial. It is good and well worth sharing with friends.

As for Terry McAuliffe's comments well, please, can you come up with someone with integrity and who has not been tarnished with corruption to prove your point?

The Cheney Innuendo... is a Gary Trudeau title. He seems so desperate in his attempt to smear the president recently.

Once upon a time reporters tried to distinguish real crooks from political targets of opportunity.

BS! The media has slanted left since the 60's and has reported a one-sided bias and one-sided attacks on all non-democrats ever since.

Dan Rather~ Pick your Clinton scandal...

What's the frequency, Kenneth? It doesn't matter. If Dan Rather could have his way, there'd only be one station on the dial, Kenneth.
