Jacko plays race card badly
Jewish World Review ^ | 7/18/02 | Clarence Page

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | If you were as surprised as I was to hear Michael Jackson charge the head of his record company with racism, perhaps the answer is in the stars.

This revelation dawned on me while watching the new science fiction comedy hit, "Men in Black II." One of the best gags in the movie is a surprise walk-on appearance by Jackson, who wants to join the "MIB" crime fighters as "Agent M" under an affirmative action program for aliens.

The big unspoken gag in the scene is that Jackson does not need any extra makeup to play an alien. Har, har.

How off-base do you have to be when Al Sharpton won't back your claims of racism?

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

How could Tommy Motolla be called a racist when he was married to a half black girl (Mariah)?

I know it is becoming cliche but only in America can a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white woman.

Implicit in Page's comments is that playing the race card is proper if done with flair.

Q: What's Michael Jackson's favorite Lawrence Welk song?

A: "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles."

I'm so ashamed...

He is currently married to Thalia - a beautiful Mexican girl - who is one of the world's biggest stars (which unfortunately does not matter as she is not known in the US). You can see her in some of the current Dr. Pepper ads.

Don't dis the "Human Dog Whistle" I have such a crush on her! The only woman in rock who can go to rehab, not for drugs or alcohol but for working too hard! If that is not conservative, I don't know what is!!!

Far enough so that even Clarence Page ridicules you and he is not known for rejecting the race card ploy, either.

Michael Jackson made a total fool of himself with his statements regarding Sony,Tony Mattola and racism. I understand that SONY responded with a little-publicized release that blamed Jackson's poor CD sales on the fact that many Americans perceive that Michael Jackson is a pederast. Good for SONY.

For the formerly black man (now a white woman) Michael Jackson to call the SONY company and Mattola racist and 'a devil' is just over the moon....like Michael Jackson. He has earned the ridicule he's received and will continue to receive. Expect a contract buy-back and quick severing of ties between SONY and Jackson and his CD's going to the cut-out rack soon. Good riddance.

I fell in love with Thalia years ago when she was in the Mexican soap Mari Mar. She truely has that star quality and the rest of the world has noticed it. She is a big star in places like the Ukraine, Gabon, the Phillipines, as well as Europe. Too bad she will never be that popular in the US.

Oh, you never know. The hispanic influence is fairly powerful. But I'm married to a Boriqua (Puerto Rican), so I may be prejudiced...
