Smith's hanging in there. Kind of surprising given he only has a 43% approval rating. But he performs okay in several polls agains Shaheen, so despite what many on this forum say, I don't believe a Sununu loss in the primary necessarily means a GOP loss in November. This is a very interesting race.

It is interesting. Shaheen is not breaking 50%. This is good. Hopefully, the GOP will hit hard as we need a bigger cushion to offset fraudulent 'Rat voting...

I just love the NH GOP primary race. Before long we will have the "Sununu's a RINO" and the "Smith's a RINO" crowd in here. It does'nt matter because Shaheen is an absolute menace to American society.
To: eureka!
Yes, but Shaheen is not the incumbent.

Thanks.
I just can't see Smith coming back to beat Sununu at this late stage of the game.

It is going to be tough to keep everything straight this November, what with so much at stake. See ya' 'round....

Yeah, Smith's got some pretty abysmal numbers, but each time I want to write him off he comes charging back. He's done very well in fundraising, so he's not without support. But if Smith does indeed lose his seat, he's got no one to blame but himself.

Before long we will have the "Sununu's a RINO" and the "Smith's a RINO" crowd in here. LOL. You're so right! Never have I seen two "RINOs" score so highly with the ACU. :-)

Very interesting poll. When is the primary?
To be honest, I don't care who the Republicans pick, so long as they beat Shaheen. Now, that looks like Sununu, so I'll root for him in the primary.

See that's where you go wrong, Coop. The Smith-ites only look at the John Birch Society ratings-- which give Smith high scores. I still laugh that Smith was upset the GOP brought elephants to the Capitol on the 1-year anniversary of the Contract with America because of the trampling/stampeding hazard they posed.

I thought that these guys were both very conservative? They are.
who would name these guys RINOs?
Supporters of the other guy. :-)

My understanding is that Sununu is a co-sponsor of the Daschle-Kennedy bill, S952 (HR 1475). National Right to Work Cmte. has taken him to task over this. This may be hurting Sununu among conservatives as this bill forces union officials to act as sole bargaining agents of cops, firemen, and county ems in all 50 states.

When is the primary? September. The 3rd, I think. I'm sure one of the NH FReepers will confirm/correct.

Humphrey looked like he could pull off a win over Shaheen (like Smith does), too, but Shaheen really opened fire the last few weeks and won comfortably by 28K votes.

Nope, it's super Tuesday- 9/10 (the day before 9/11, as well).
We join Arizona, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
