Osama bin Laden to address Muslims soon: Spokesman

Statements on a website attributed to Al-Qaeda's spokesman claim that Osama bin Laden will soon make a televised addressed to the Muslim world.
The remarks, purportedly made by Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, appeared on an Arabic-language website that issues daily updates on the war in Afghanistan.
"We assure Muslims that Sheik Osama bin Laden is in good health, and all that has been reported about his sickness or his being injured in Tora Bora is completely false. The sheik will address the (Muslim) community soon in a televised interview," Abu Ghaith was quoted as saying.
There was no way to independently confirm the authenticity of the remarks.
A three-part series signed by Abu Ghaith and entitled "Why we fight America," appeared last month on an Islamic militant website which has been up and down for months.
The latest comments were posted on Wednesday, according to the site, and include a photo of bin Laden kneeling between Abu Ghaith and Ayman Al-Zawahri, bin Laden's Egyptian lieutenant. The picture was taken from a video on Oct 7, the same day the United States launched its military campaign against Afghanistan's former ruling Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
"America should get ready and fasten its safety belt," Abu Ghaith was quoted as saying. "We will come to them from where they don't expect. Yes, we will wage attacks, but at the right time , at the place we want and in the way we please."
Abu Ghaith, a former teacher and mosque preacher who was stripped of his Kuwaiti citizenship after the Sept. 11 attacks, allegedly said "98 per cent of Al-Qaeda's leadership is safe ... The battle will intensify soon, God willing, inside and outside Afghanistan."

Just as soon as they can find a 6'5" Arab who looks like him to play the part.
Especially given the claims of how wonderful he'll look and how much younger he'll look. That sounds to me like it's an old speech with any parts indicating the date cut out of it, maybe a year ago when he didn't look as haggard. Unless he holds up a newspaper and starts reading the American League standings as of June 15th, 2002, this in all likelihood will be further evidence that he's dead.
