Somehow, we need to find a way to take our site back from the propagandists.

We could try using THIS

Now will you tell us how the FBI and CIA are suppose to protect us without more money or more power to find bad guys?

The FBI and CIA couldn't protect us with a gazillion-dollar budget. But they will be able to protect us if we give them more money. That is tortured logic, precious -- just like the Democrats use when defending the failing government schools or some other failed social program. Just give the teachers and the school mo' money and then they'll fix it!

Most of these rabid Bush-bashers probably didn't vote for him in the first place, and they have gleefully joined Rush, who is quickly turning into a has-been.

That's not true. As a matter of fact, I was one of those die hard supporters who said Bush "must have a plan to cream the Democrats on CFR". I knew he "would never sign it!" I knew he would fight the Dems on school funding. "No way would he cave on any of these issues!"
Then he caved again, and again, and again!
Boy, do I feel sheepish today.
I'm ashamed I supported him so adamently.
As far as Rush, I homeschool during the day and Rush is on then. I couldn't listen to the radio. Now that we're reviewing for SATs, I think Rush has found a voice much better than ever. He's comming through loud and clear, and he's absolutely right. We've been HAD!
I think those who really care about conservative issues would actually turn the radio up when Rush is on, so others can hear it.

huh?

Which post of mine are you questioning?

Instead of criticizing without the facts, how about some suggestions on how you would reorganize an 11,000 employee department to suit your needs? Or how about responding to the fact that the FBI until the new guidelines investigate allegations or suspicions of criminality until after such crimes occurred?

Yup.

Pointed out the facts on another thread, and the usual crowd of folks who seemed to all have registered in late 2000/early 2001 have been carrying on without paying attention to the facts.

I believe Rush would have a much more interesting show if he would simply have W on the program (or interview him in the Limbaugh Letter) to ask his questions. It would certainly make for better radio. Furthermore, I tire of his questioning the people who must have been "at the meeting" to know how Bush is thinking - as if he had anything other than speculation himself. If he wants answers, he should go to the source. I presume he has the clout and ability to arrange for that. By not doing so, I'm left to assume that he simply enjoys beating a dead horse.

Well, of course, I believe it is an attempt by the liberal media to find something to throw at the President in a desperate attempt to make something, anything, stick. My disappointment comes from those who have seemingly not read the report, especially Rush. But that's just me.

Do you see my point, though?

If the report came out last week, I don't think the Administration has an excuse for not seizing the initiative and predetermining the spin .

If we control the release the spin is ours to lose, and then we can make sure that Rush and Drudge are out in front of the NYT. Therefore, no blindside.

Any downside?

I'm rooting for my Commander in Chief and I think he is doing a damn fine job of his primary duty as POTUS.

I have "issues" on some of the homefront things but they are secondary in my mind to the job at hand.

And what might those secondary issues be, specifically?

Rush is conveniently ignoring the facts surrounding this report, its release and the administration's position on it.

These are the facts as I understand them:

1. The Administration's policies have not changed; however,

2. The Administration recognizes that human activities have and are impacting global temperature

If I'm to understand this properly, Rush is upset not at current policy, but at the potential long-term ramifications of agreeing that human actions are to blame for global warming. IOW, by ceding the premise to the liberals we may have changed the argument from "Is global warming legit?" to "What should be done about global warming?"

Am I missing something here?

And I think you're busy running around here, claiming you're misunderstood, that everybody thinks you're bashing Bush when you're not -- when you really are.

Rush is NOT being trashed because he disagrees with Bush; he's being trashed because he took a flat out distortion from the New York Times, of all places, and made a show out of it.

Seem to agree with you "CAB"...

My dear friend Rush has never been a shill for the Republican Party, rather a clear and concise voice for American Conservatism and the basic principles of our Constitution.

"Learn It, Love It, Live It".

I'm surprised you're here. I thought you'd be somewhere, waiting for somebody to decide who you should vote for.

Heck, they've been ORDERING everyone to support George Gore around here tonight! No way will I vote Bush again. No one likes being decieved. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!

I'm through bickering on these threads, and I'm trying to civilly discuss matters. Kindly refrain from ascribing motives to me, when you have no idea who I am. Thanks in advance.

Well, while everyone was arguing here, I was out to dinner.

I came back just in time to hear Dan Quayle laughing at Sean Hannity's questions and defending the President as a conservative, and telling Sean to go look at Reagan's first year.

Does this mean that Dan Quayle is a Bush-bot?
