GROW SPINE, GOP, INVESTIGATE CLINTON (NOW says Rush Limbaugh)

GROW SPINE, GOP, INVESTIGATE CLINTON

My friends, I want you to listen to my brilliant Hour One challenge to the Republicans in Congress. The Democrats are demanding top-secret documents prepared for the president on Osama bin Laden and Middle Eastern men training at our flight schools.

Ari Fleischer says the White House is working with congressional committees investigating the matter. Cheney warned against playing politics, and Condolleezza Rice gave a briefing. All that's fine, but if congressional Republicans do not repeatedly and loudly demand likewise for Sandy Berger, Madeleine Albright - and, yes, Bill Clinton - to get to the bottom of their failure to act on the Sudanese government's offer to hand over Osama bin Laden, then they're not worth supporting.

I am very serious about this. If the White House is going to contribute, it's up to House Republicans to borrow, beg or grow a spine and conduct themselves the way the Democrats would in these sorts of circumstances. If congressional Republicans don't assert themselves, Daschle Democrats are going to roll right over them in this investigation and it's going to turn out to be nothing more than a Robert Bork-type hearing.

This is not about blame or "gotcha." It's about facts. In the current See, I Told You So, I remind you that of my warning that foreign policy would be then-Governor Clinton's downfall - and now stories are coming out about exactly this sort of thing happening related to September the 11th. CNN reports that the United States was warned in 1995 of a plot to hijack airplanes and attack buildings, and sent a similar warning on September 11th...of 1999. Fight it, guys - now.

More slouching.

Sadly I think you may be right. The boy is a moron.

In three years since the media declared him to be the frontrunner I have yet to hear him say anything indicating remarkable intelligent. Fortunately, he can say it in Spanish, which some people feel elevates it in content.

On this one Rush is right. There will be no new tone in Washington unless there is a final, once and for all exposure of the Clinton administration.

President Bush give them what they want. You've brought integrity and character back to the oval office, now bring justice.

The Clintons partially disassembled the legal system, and the demand for accountability, in this country and were allowed to get away with it. Shrub has aided them by insisting we move on instead of examining the issue.

I see it is time to bring back Mark Helprin's still unanswered A Question for George W. Bush from Tuesday, August 8, 2000. Excerpt:
"Governor, in your acceptance speech you said, "I have no stake in the bitter arguments of the last few years." Is that really so? Did it merely slip by? Granted, the impeachment was stimulated by a lesser grievance than any it should have been founded upon. Nonetheless, have you no stake in making sure that a citizen outrageously brought before the governor of a state for the purpose of providing sex for him, can have her day in court? Have you no stake in the expectation that witnesses not be intimidated, evidence not be destroyed, lies not be told? Have you no stake in the assumption that the president of the United States will not perjure himself in a court of law? Have you no stake in the principle that the law applies equally to all, regardless of station? Have you no stake in checking the abuse of power? Have you no stake in ensuring that the office your father occupied with such grace not be tainted by criminality and indecency?"

With all due respect. That is such a cop out. The majority just doesn't give a damn any more. They have believed the lie that their vote doesn't count so why bother.

It's better to get lost in Jerry Springer, Lifetime television or watching constant reruns of some old lame sitcom than to stay focused on what's really happening in the real world.

Then there is always those who think they have the miracle pill in their particular candidate that if they can just get them elected would make all the difference.

I can't even imagine what you must be experiencing-has any candidate that you have believed in been elected as president?

I bet we can help Rush with this. Lets get in touch with these people that Rush says need to grow a spine. Wouldn't it be great if they took Rush up on it?

Bush didn't have such a stake, but I and the rest of the people in this nation sure as hell do. What was being established was a tolerance for meglomaniacal corruption and mental instability that no nation can survive.

LOL Only Bill Clinton could give criminals hope. I have to say this one equals giving illegals immigrants water and whatever else they need trying to break into the country. They're suing for 40 million dollars. (or what they really want is free access to the best country on the face of the earth).

Respectfully disagree. It's not going to happen. If Lott couldn't be convinced to have the necessary witnesses when he had the votes, he sure as heck isn't going to do anything now.

This is the central issue, and the true test as to whether or not our Republican leaders are fit to serve us. This country cannot and will not survive one more screw-up. It may all rest on this.

Reagan was and is an enigma. It was because of him that I became a Republican. Can't explain, he spoke with such authority, to explain it as I grasp it now, he spoke the words of the Founding Fathers vision for America for those who needed direction.

It's unfortunate that he is not able to receive the praise for his accomplishments.

This really puts it on the line. The people so in rage at the democrats for what they have said about Bush and the attack demand that we get to the bottom of it as to the Clintons part. Demand our people ask the question everyday til we get an answer.

The GOP refuses to get tough. When they do, they are so afraid that the RAT-controlled press will call them mean-spirited. I distinctly remember that problem in 1992. When Bush said some negative things about Sinkmaster, the NY TIMES went nuts and Bush simply backed off. We knew the truth about Clinton then. Some learned it right after Somalia. Some after Bernie Schwartz and Loral. Some after Monica Lewinsky. Some after Juanita Broaddrick. Some after "I did not have....." with the finger pointing. And some on September 11, 2001.

The totality of the damage done to this nation by Sinkmaster and Satan's Daughter has still not been fully felt. Why will people tell the truth in court when the chief law enforcement officer didn't? Why will little 13-year-old girls stop giving BJs to the football team when that really isn't sex? Why will anyone obey subpoenas to produce documents when they can simply be hidden in the closet until the statute of limitations has run? Why do the right thing when cheating gets you ahead? That is more of the Clinton legacy.
