The whole tone changed today-this attack was another Democrat blunder, they looked unpatriotic, partisan, desperate and quite frankly, downright evil.

I fear that the answer is that it will take some major event, i.e. a terrorist event, to shut those fools up.We don't want them to shut up. The more the RATS harp on it, the more news comes out about how Clinton did nothing for eight years and the angrier the electorate gets at the Dems for their obviously politically-motivated attacks. This is backfiring on them big time.
That said, my guess is the story's over by Monday. The newscasts this evening were already switching to weather stories within five minutes of going on the air; that's a sure sign they're getting bored with it.
With summer arriving, and tourism picking up, I'm very worried that terrorism will pick up also.
While I certainly don't want anything to happen to any Americans, it will only send Bush's ratings back up into the 90% range if anything happens again on US soil.

Well ... your theory sounds good, but my money's on the little wifey. She isn't too emotionally sound, and I'm sure she didn't appreciate this young thing stealing her meal ticket. I also believe Condit helped cover up the crime, when he should have turned her in.

Interesting on Grant. I am writing a U.S. history textbook for colleges, and have not yet written the section on Grant. However, my initial impressions are that the public liked him in spite of the corruption because he basically kept his hands off their lives. They could tolerate some greedy railroad tycoons at the Union Pacific, and even corrupt congressmen, as long as overall government wasn't trying to dictate their lives.
Clinton in many ways---even though he hated doing so---reduced slightly the level of government in our lives by signing on to several "Contract with America" provisions. I think had he been successful at Hillarycare or other of his moronic initiatives, his favorability ratings would have plunged. MUCH OF HIS POPULARITY was a reflection of the public's approval of the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS'S LEGISLATION and of the "gridlock" that kept Washington out of the economy.

The 1999 memo warned Clinton that the Pentagon might be attacked VIA airplanes loaded with explosives (semtex, jet fuel etc.)

Networks directing the liberals..interesting And plausible. Birds of a feather...
But perhaps 'directing' is too strong a word. 'Flagging' might work better.

No, I don't think she has what it takes to pull off the perfect crime. I think Condit's a traitor and his client did Chandra in very thoroughly.
To: clintonh8r
Thank you! My theory about Chandra/Condit has always been that he was selling secrets to support his lifestyle (Harley, chic condo, $80 haicuts, babes, etc). When his client(s) worried that Chandra could be a liability, it was him/them who disappeared her. Very professionally. He's a secret-seller, ain't no doubt about it. Second best bet is Alcee-the-impeached-federal-judge-Hastings.Interesting thing is that Chandra was a Jewish girl...

On FOX, this morning, a woman from the WA Post was saying that Hillary was getting most of the criticism for the political attack on Bush.
