Are you talking about this?
(Easton-AP May 17, 2002 7:25 AM)_ Three men who are described as being of middle-eastern descent have been arrested after suspicious activity at a reservoir in Easton.
Easton police got a call about seven-thirty last night that three men were spotted on top of a supply tank of the Easton Reservoir Filtration Plant.
One of the men was reportedly using a video camera to film the area around the plant and the reservoir dam.
The three were taken into custody and charged with trespassing.
Easton police chief John Solomon says because of the heightened state of security for reservoirs, the FBI and state emergency officials were notified.

Leave them alone, they're probably just trying to find a good place to pray.

I don't know about anyone else, but something doesn't look right here. Am I being paranoid?

The three were taken into custody and charged with trespassing. You can't do that - that's profiling!!! [/sarcasm]

Yup. There will be a news briefing in a little while. I don't know why they call it breaking news when it happened over 2 hours ago. Thanks.

Leave them alone, they're probably just trying to find a good place to pray.Wrong. They were just interested in filming the world's biggest swimming pool.

Looking for holy water? ;-)
To: areafiftyone
They were scoping it out, just as the 9-11 terrorists did at the airports prior to that day.
This is serious stuff happening here. I wonder what other kinds of things are going on that we won't ever hear about.
Time to get very serious about our security is long overdue. We still are not doing enough.

Most likely they just were scouting out a place to put that 10 tons of cyanide they hijacked in Mexico, don't you think?
To: SaveTheChief
Exactly. Looks like the fellows wanted to murder millions downstream by putting something in the water supply. What a bunch of sweethearts. I'm glad they were caught.

Can somebody answer a question for me? Does boiling your water eliminate chemicals like cyanide? What's the best way to "clean" your water? Somebody noted on an earlier post that most people these days drink only bottled water. Who is to say that even that is safe? (I don't want to sound paranoid, sorry.)

Interesting point. Although I had heard the water plants DID have additional security, maybe that's why they were caught?

Bottled water is not safe. Actually tap water is safer. But try telling that to all the exercise freaks out there.

Suspiciously, no physical descriptions of the three men...wouldn't want to racially profile 3 swarthy males and all.
