"I think the party seems to feel they can take religious conservatives for granted and still flirt with homosexual activists, perhaps not realizing that the agendas are so diametrically opposed that this cannot hold for long. I would advise them to rethink that strategy," he said.

As we Catholics like to say, "Bingo." Republicans take conservatives for granted the same way Democrats take blacks for granted.

And don't imagne that the voting patterns of either group will change in a significant way. These clowns in power SPECIALISE in staying in power. Gaining and keeping power is what the game is all about. They know just what buttons to push and when to push them.

Bingo, indeed! I've been saying this for decades, and few have listened. Power seekers cannot be trusted, no matter what views they express. Or, as Macchiavelli put it, "Put not your trust in princes!"

these are basic axioms of government:

1A. governments do not give power away.. they dont.. that is their business, their reason for existence.. they will lie, pass false laws, create pseudo-legal unaccountable law enforcement agencies, 'do it for the children', kill you/rob you/throw you in jail, whatever it takes to get more power from you.

1B. governments are continually seeking more more power.. the more power a goverment has, the more secure its continued existence is. they will lie, pass false laws, create pseudo-legal unaccountable law enforcement agencies, 'do it for the children', kill you/rob you/throw you in jail, whatever it takes to keep the power they get from you

2. goverments are self corrupting.. how many actually selfless honest public servants work for the government?.. power corrupts.. but absolute power corrupts absolutely.. the more power a goverment has, the more corrupt they will be.

Republicans take conservatives for granted the same way Democrats take blacks for granted

well stated!

Conservatives can always stay away from the polls. I for one am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils anyway. But you can rest assured we are in the process of finding out if God is real or not.Soddom & Gommorah was not a tick on the clock compared to America and the Homosexual movement. They have had control of the press and Hollywood for years now they have taken over "The Church" and the UN.If he is there the Big Guy will soon speak and we can all run to church the way we did on 9-1-1. to listen to some Homosexual Pervert speak.

A sexual curriculum of ANY kind has no place in the schools. This is not a scientific issue, but a moral one. The schools can't even teach kids how to decline a verb, let alone an offer of sex.

Under this program, teachers identify children who are abused in schools because they are perceived to be homosexual, affirm these children in their homosexuality so as to raise their self-esteem, and teach the other children that homosexuality is okay, Knight said.

So now every nerdy kid of the type who gets called "faggot" by the school bully...
You fill in the rest.

Much of the current sex education in public schools is based on discredited studies by sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, who said confining sex to marriage is an old-fashioned taboo that society had best do without if people were to enjoy mental health, Knight said.

OH YEAH! Our country is a lot healthier mentally than it was 50 years ago! What b.s.!

Knight also criticized Attorney General John Ashcroft for meeting with Log Cabin Republicans as soon as he was sworn into office, and for refusing to meet Regina Griggs, president of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays, a group that helps families deal with this issue.

Not a good sign

"Linda Harvey, a Christian activist and former advertising executive, called the "Safe Schools Campaign" the Trojan horse of the homosexual education movement."

Example Offered of Real Homosexual Agenda in America's Schools

"The school board says it’s about harassment, it’s about tolerance. Well, what does GLSEN say?" she asks. "The executive director, Kevin Jennings, says that it is about promoting homosexuality. That’s what he said is his mission. Let me read you his quote. He said, ‘Promoting homosexuality -- we can make it happen. That is our mission from this day forward.’ "

Folger describes the prospects as "frightening." "We had people that went into the GLSEN meetings. And make no mistake, this is not about tolerance in meeting with teachers -- it's about getting to the children," she says. "In fact, it was in that GLSEN meeting, locally held, that they said, 'We need this agreement to get to the children.' "

Governor’s Commission Lies Continually About ‘Safety’ and ‘Suicide’

"Safety
A speech by a homosexual activist in 1995 revealed that he had used "safety" to delude Gov. Weld and the state legislature into adopting the homosexual agenda for the schools of Massachusetts. The speech was titled Winning the Culture War and was given by Kevin Jennings, Executive Director of the "Gay and Lesbian and Straight Teachers’ Network," at the "Human Rights Campaign Fund Leadership Conference" on March 5, 1995.

"If the Radical Right can succeed in portraying us as preying on children, we will lose. Their language ‘promoting homosexuality’ is one example is laced with subtle and not-so-subtle innuendo that we are ‘after their kids.’ We must learn from the abortion struggle, where the clever claiming of the term ‘pro-life’ allowed those who opposed abortion on demand to frame the issue to their advantage, to make sure that we do not allow ourselves to be painted into a corner before the debate even begins.

"In Massachusetts the effective reframing of this issue was the key to the success of the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. We immediately seized upon the opponent’s calling card safety and explained how homophobia represents a threat to students’ safety by creating a climate where violence, name-calling, health problems, and suicide are common. Titling our report "Making Schools Safe for Gay and Lesbian Youth," we automatically threw our opponents onto the defensive and stole their best line of attack. This framing short-circuited their arguments and left them back-pedaling from day one.

"Finding the effective frame for your community is the key to victory. It must be linked to universal values that everyone in the community has in common.

"In Massachusetts, no one could speak up against our frame and say, ‘Why, yes, I do think students should kill themselves’: this allowed us to set the terms for the debate.

"In Massachusetts, we made creating an environment where youth could speak out our number one priority. We know that, confronted with real-live stories of youth who had suffered from homophobia, our opponents would have to attack people who had been victimized once, which put them in a bully position from which it would be hard to emerge looking good. More importantly, we made sure these youth met with elected officials so that, the next time these officials had to vote on something, there would be a specific face and story attached to the issue. We wanted them to have an actual kid in mind when they had to cast their votes. We won the vote in the Senate 33-7 as a result..."

You mean like higher rates of single parent households, abortion, homelessness, well-fare, illiteracy, drug use, STD’s, and removing the practice of perversion from the registry of pathologies? Racism is the only thing I can think of that we needed to leave behind 50 years ago, the rest we’re worse for wear.

Wait a minute, that can't be true, I thought we were living in the "Great Society" of the Democrats...

Here's a consent form sent out to students at Aptos High School. The Triangle speakers were invited after 2 lesbian women were killed in a suspicious house fire, can't remember where.

***************************************************

Your child’s health class will hear a presentation from a controversial guest speaker panel. The Triangle Speakers work to eliminate homophobia- the fear, prejudice, and hatred against gay people. The purpose of inviting these speakers into the classroom is to break down myths and stereotypes, reduce prejudice, and support students who are gay or lesbian.

The speaker panel is comprised of one gay, one lesbian, one bisexual or transgendered person, and one parent of someone who is gay, lesbian, or bisexual. The four speakers introduce themselves, talking briefly about their lives. A question and answer period follows. Speakers are trained to provide answers that are age-appropriate.

Guest Speaker- Triangle Speakers
Controversial Issue- sexual orientation
Relationship to Course of Study- Unit: social health
Topic: respect for others and discrimination
Date of Presentation- one period either May 21, 23,or 24

The Pajaro Valley Unified School District believes that students should have age-appropriate opportunities to investigate, address, and discuss curriculum that may be controversial. In order to comply with District Policy # 6144 (Controversial Issues) parents will be informed in writing regarding the study of a controversial issue and have a right to the following:
• review all material to be presented
• choice to have your child participate or not participate in the study of the controversial issue.

Please complete and return the lower portion of this letter to me so that I may be sure you received this information. If you have further questions you may contact me at charmon@aptoshs.net or at 688-6565 ex 679.

Sincerely,

Calypso Harmon

Govt. schools are cesspools of depravity. They are bringing up a new generation of amoral liberals. We could call today's public school children "The Clinton Youth" as they are being indoctrinated just like the Hitler Youth.
