It is rare for a prestigious institution to nakedly compromise its research integrity to promote a political agenda. Yet this is what the Harvard School of Public Health did April 17 when it issued an anti-gun press release trumpeting its recent study on the murder of women.

Actually since Blacks commit over 50% of all homicides, if you elimiate both Black and Hispanic statistics the rate is about 3.0

There is no question that the HSPH findings are frightening: some 4,000 American females are murdered each year.

I just went to the CDC site to learn that in 1999 (latest) there were 4101 female homicides, 1884 by firearm.

For white females, it was 2443, 1098 by firearm.

I once read that if you eliminate black males 15-35 (i.e. the drug dealin' yout's) from the stats, the US murder rate is well below Europe's.

We don't have a gun problem, or even a murder problem. We have a drug problem, but we don't seem to have a consensus on a solution.

IMNSHO, there are a number of constituencies which actually thrive on the drug problem. LE likes it, since it creates demand for their services. The big government types, left and right, like it, because it provides justification for them to take charge of the sheeple.
