Anti Israel Sentiment Continues to Snowball

(IsraelNN.com) A authorized General Motors dealer in Texas, Texas Automotive Export, sent a fax to an Israeli client, Avi Udiz, that the company is unwilling to sell him the parts he was seeking for his Isuzu jeep because at present, they are not dealing with Israelis. The fax stated the response was a decision taken due to Israel’s actions vis-à-vis the PA. The fax was signed by company representative John Harris, who called on Udiz to pressure his country to “stop the offensive on the Palestinian people,” adding that “your country has lost the respect of the civilized world”.

The alarmed client sent letters and copies of the fax to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Foreign Ministry, and other official offices, telling Israel Radio on Wednesday morning that has also been contacted by journalists in the US seeking to publicize his story.

In the medical community, the Israel Medical Association (IMA) fears it will be ousted from the World Medical Association (WMA), an international body composed of medical organizations from 130 nations.

According to IMA Chairman Dr. Yoram Blacher, who also serves as the number two official in the WMA, Israel stands a chance of being ousted or at the very least, being told its physicians may not hold any post in the WMA. A meeting to discuss Israel’s status is scheduled to take place in Geneva next week.

Blachar warned this must be dealt with immediately and on the highest levels, pointing out that the move could have devastating results in the medical community and lead to a cessation of medical research cooperation with the world medical community as well as other sanctions.

Lets see if this legitimate story- of a Texas auto parts dealer refusing to deal with Israelis- gets deleted a third time and whether the moderator has an explanation why the previous two were deleted?

I find it hard to believe an AMerican company would do this despite the large numbers of muslims in the Arlington and the Richardson area. Could it have been faxed to Israel by a lowerlevel employee//cleaning crew and is actually not representative of the actual company?

I would be astonished to think this actually represents the position of that company in Texas. They have been set up by someone who wishes to do them harm, possibly a disgruntled ex-employee or even current employee.

This thread surely has been deleted because it is BOGUS, and thus is unfair to the name of this business which in fact is PERFECTLY WILLING TO DEAL WITH ISRAEL.

That is what I would bet, dollars to half-donuts.

Ditto. Either the story is bogus, or the dealer is not only probably a bigot, but a hell of a stupid one.

That thread was deleted, not sure why. The moderator posted something saying "Sorry, there's a legitimate link" and then it got deleted anyhow. Weird.

Wish the 'fax' had the date/time stamp on it. If it was faxed at say 11pm or 6am pretty good bet it wasn't official.

The other suspicious bit is that the Israeli customer didn't call the dealer to inquire, but immediately went to other venues. That strikes me as odd behavior.

"This thread surely has been deleted because it is BOGUS..."

If that's what happened, then I'm in awe of the moderators' ability to discern instantly and flawlessly the truth of any newspaper article. Can we assume then that every thread that is not pulled may be treated as Holy Writ?

The fax is real; whether it came from the company's owner, from a lower-level manager or from the night cleaning crew has yet to be determined. We'll know soon enough, since TAE's answering machine is going to be clogged with messages from reporters and IRS agents tomorrow morning. But until then, how about we let the thread live this time, so that when the truth comes out there's a place to post it?

At this point the Israelis are feeling so battered and under attack even by the WorldMedicalAss! that they believe it first and question it second. I mean, our first inclination with a lot of the islamic manifestoes is to just stare, jaw on the floor until the anger rushes in.

For anyone's information: Maariv (it means evening) is a major Israeli newspaper. Much more important then both the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz.

And in case anyone wants to see the article on Maariv itself, here's how you get to it: http:www.maariv.co.il If you don't have Hebrew fonts installed (and I presume you don't), you'll see a lot of gibberish characters. Click on the right edge of the dark grey bar (beneath the red logo and the light grey bar). That'll get you to the "News" (Hadashot) page, then scroll down to near the very end of the page, where you'll see a small gray image of a car logo. That's the article with the fax in it.

despite the large numbers of muslims in the Arlington and the Richardson area.

Actually, the establishment in question appears to be a performance auto supply store in Dripping Springs, TX, population 1300, "Gateway to the Hill Country" on Route 290 west of Austin.

Sounds like somebody picked this guy out of the Yellow Pages and attempted to make a story.

Even if true, it's inconsequential.
