Arafat and Hitler: Samuel Blumenfeld compares two peas in murderous pod

When you come to think of it, there is much that Yasser Arafat has in common with Adolf Hitler.

The German dictator was determined to exterminate the Jews of Europe, and he used his Hitler Youth organization to indoctrinate German youth to hate and kill Jews. So that when he overran the countries of Europe, he had a ready army of killers willing and able to carry out his plan. And he went so far as to devote an enormous amount of construction and rail transport to carry out his plan, even though it meant depriving German soldiers supplies needed at the front.

He managed to kill about 6 million Jews and in the process brought total ruin to Germany. He committed suicide in a bunker in Berlin as the Red Army closed in around him. With his death, the whole Nazi machine of terror came crashing down in ruins.

Yasser Arafat has devoted his entire political career to one goal only: the destruction of Israel. When the Israelis foolishly brought him from Tunis, installed him as leader of the Palestinian Authority and armed his police force, it was tantamount to bringing a deadly cobra into one's home.

In complete violation of the Oslo Accords, Arafat proceeded to indoctrinate Palestinian children to hate Israel and kill Jews. He managed to conceal from the Israelis his ultimate aim to destroy them. Even when he rejected the incredibly generous offer made by Prime Minister Ehud Barak at Camp David, Israelis still could not believe that the ultimate aim of the Palestinian Authority was the destruction of the Jewish state.

Hitler had explained exactly what he intended to do in "Mein Kampf." And Arafat made it clear what his goal was in what he told Palestinians in Arabic and the messages he conveyed to children in their textbooks. If the Israelis had read them, they would have realized that Arafat was training his own version of Hitler Youth to kill them.

The suicide bombers are Arafat's Hitler Youth in action. They have finally awakened the Israelis to their peril. And the Israelis are beginning to act. They must destroy the terrorist infrastructure which Arafat and his Palestinian Nazis have created. That will require removing the PA leaders, destroying their buildings and arresting all known and suspected terrorists. Israel cannot do less and survive the terrorist onslaught.

Like Hitler, Arafat is now holed up in his own bunker, waiting for the end. The Israelis have said they don't want to kill him. Hitler committed suicide. But suicide is not Arafat's style.

He is bringing total ruin to the Palestinian entity, but that doesn't seem to bother him. He sent children strapped with bombs to do his dirty work. And they've done it. These gullible children were promised heaven, but they've gone to hell for violating God's Commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."

Once the Israelis take over the Palestinian entity, they must find individuals willing to create a new government that will accept a peace with Israel. And if that is done, the Israelis must then insist that Arab children be educated to love their neighbors and to shun terrorism.

Another similarity between Arafat and Hitler is that both men needed war in order to carry out their plans. Hitler started World War II, during which he was able to exterminate Jews throughout Europe, and Arafat needs a war against Israel by the other Arab states in order to obliterate Israel. He knows that the Palestinians cannot destroy Israel alone, and he expected that an Israeli attack against him would provoke Arab nations to retaliate. But, to date, that strategy hasn't worked.

Arafat has always believed that he held the trump cards against Israel: the world liberal media, which is sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians; anti-Israel demonstrations in the world's capitals; and the threat of a wider war against Israel waged by a united Arab front. But because of Sept. 11, he can no longer count even on Saddam Hussein coming to his rescue, because should Saddam lob a single missile against Israel, that would give George Bush the green light to obliterate Saddam. Checkmate!

But the latest news is that President Bush is trying to rescue Arafat from oblivion. Why? To appease the Arab states. As a terrorist, Arafat can hardly be a partner for peace. So the conflict will continue until there is a change of leadership among the Palestinians.

Reaping the Whirlwind
by JohnHuang2
April 4, 2002

In Europe today, there are chilling echoes of 1938.

The infamous pogrom known as Kristallnacht -- "the Night of Broken Glass" -- rocked Germany's Jewish neighborhoods on the nights of November 9th and 10th. Nazi youth gangs destroyed thousands of Jewish homes and businesses and more than a hundred synagogues were razed.

Item: In Brussels, a synagogue on Monday was firebombed by unknown assailants. No injuries were reported, but there was considerable damage.

Item: In Marseilles, the Or Aviv synagogue was destroyed Sunday night. It was burnt to the ground.

Item: In Lyons, during the wee hours of Saturday morning, over a dozen masked youths, in two stolen cars, crashed the gates of a synagogue, setting the cars ablaze in the inner courtyard. Thankfully, in this instance, firemen arrived in time.

But there's more.

Again on Saturday, a kosher butcher shop in Toulouse was fired upon by a gunman, while in Berlin, on Tuesday, two Jewish American tourists were beaten to the ground by a gang of Mideast assailants who first asked the couple if they were Jewish. The attackers remain at large.

In Strasbourg, arson destroyed the wooden doors to a Jewish prayer house, the fifth such attack in four days.

What's happening here?

For years, Europe had fostered a climate of anti-Semitism with its unabashed support for "Palestinian" nationalism and by its relentless Jew-bashing in the press (always, of course, in the clever guise of criticism of Israel).

Europe is reaping the whirlwind for blatant anti-Semitism -- that's what's happening here.

Yet, Europe still doesn't 'get it'. Despite the mounting evidence -- damning evidence -- implicating their darling golden-boy Arafat as a terrorist, they continue to mouth-off worn platitudes about a "peace process" demanding greater 'engagement' from us.

Meanwhile, Europe continues in its orgy of Sharon-bashing, even as waves of suicide bombers attack crowded Pizzerias, malls, shopping centers, buses and night clubs.

"Nie Wieder" is German for 'Never again'. Survivors of the Holocaust vowed that it would never happen again. Auschwitz -- never again. Treblinka -- never again. Birkenau -- never again. Buchenwald -- never again.

Without this historical background, it is impossible to understand Israel's gallant, dauntless determination to survive. Even in the face of international condemnation and censure, this tiny country remains resolute, unwavering, unflinching. Israel has been blacklisted, upbraided, lectured at, reproached, rebuked, castigated and decried, but her people remain tenacious as ever.

In fact, the louder the fulminations -- the more the world gangs up on her -- the stauncher, the firmer Israel's people become.

Small wonder they're not fooled by Arafat in the least. They know that behind that carefully crafted public persona, lies a terrorist.

And how right they are.

Arafat is a murderer, a cruel and pitiless brute bereft of even a smidgen of human compassion. He is the implacable archenemy of peace, if peace means tolerance or acceptance of Jews, whom he loathes with venom -- the poison of a thousand vipers.

Arafat is an insatiable cutthroat, a serial killer, whose voracious complicity in genocide marks him -- not as a statesman -- but an international war criminal, every bit like the cracked Nazi butchers he emulates.

From Arafat's deathly hands, drips the blood of innocents, spilled by a madman's unfettered hate, his animus to rout from his fiefdom all traces of Jewry.

Arafat is ethnic-cleansing-xenophobia personified, whose zero-tolerance vision is of "Palestine" purged of Jewish "infidels" where Jews are told to "get out, and stay out!"

To Arafat, this callous, caustic, cold-hearted fiend, Jews are not human beings.

You heard right.

I'll repeat: Jews, to Arafat, are not human beings.

Arafat is a preacher of hate. Like Hitler, he poisons young minds with fear -- fear of Jews. Like the Nazis, he wraps his "cause" in the cloak of victimization, of nationalist "struggle" against "Zionist" "oppression" -- the Jewish "menance". From Arafat's paranoid rantings, "Palestinians" are molded to think that Jews are "conspiring" to "rule" the world.

He wields this fear and hate as bridges to action. But before he can muster his storm-troopers into waves of suicide bombers, he methodically dehumanizes the "enemy" -- the Jews.

The process of dehumanization is enabled by Arafat's stranglehold monopoly over the media. In the "territories," the airwaves are saturated with torrents of anti-Jewish hate-mongering, laced in the fervor of radical Islam. Propaganda is everywhere. Radio and television, as well as newspapers, books and magazines all reinforce Arafat's message of hate.

Killing Jews is not only sanctioned, it is elevated to an act of religious duty, with promises of rich rewards in the "hereafter".

Bottom line: Israel followed every jot and tittle of the phony Oslo Accords. Israel offered "Palestinians" almost everything they said they wanted. But what did Israel get for her troubles?

Twenty-one months of murder, mayhem, death and destruction -- that's what.

It's not fair, it's not right, it's not moral.

And it will not stand.

Never again.

My two cents...

Agreed.

Here's a happy thought from Middle East expert Daniel Pipes:

Islamists constitute a small but significant minority of Muslims, perhaps 10 to 15 per cent of the population. Many of them are peaceable in apearance, but they all must be considered potential killers.

How does 400,000 to 800,000 -- in our country -- potential killers sound?

How short our memories are: "Mein Kamph" means "My Struggle" which in Islamic terms means "Mein Jihad".

_______ and Hitler.

Lazy editorialist of American foreign policy pull the Hitler analogy so often we should be ashamed for giving such intellectual tripe any bandwidth.

"America goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own."

--John Quincy Adams

"[America] well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force."
--John Quincy Adams

"But if we should involve ourselves in the web of European politics, in a war which could effect nothing ... where, then, would be the last hope of the friends of freedom throughout the world? Far better it is ... that, adhering to our wise pacific system, and avoiding the distant wars of Europe, we should keep our own lamp burning brightly on this western shore, as a light to all nations, than to hazard its utter extinction amidst the ruins of fallen and falling republics in Europe."
--Henry Clay

"Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none."
--Thomas Jefferson

"Our own share of miseries is sufficient: Why enter then as volunteers into those of another?"
--Thomas Jefferson

"Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few."
--James Madison

Yasser Arafat has devoted his entire political career to one goal only: the destruction of Israel.

And America will be next in line. Right now, Israel is a buffer zone tying up the Muslim murderers. They are on the front line much as England was on the front line in WW2.

The Muslim foe is every bit as bad as Hitler and his SS. We either give our support to Israel, or we will be the next to go down.

Just what kind of mentality were the forefathers warning against in your opinion? Or could the forefathers not have anticipated a time like this?

My great-great-great-great-great grandfather fought under your namesake, so I mean no disrepsect.

No. I don't believe the father of our Constitution had any idea of what America would be facing in 2002 from the Muslim threat. This marvelous document, that has withstood the trials of 200 years, is very close to being wiped from the face of this earth by these evil men.

I believe our fight to preserve our Constitution and our way of life begins in giving our support to Israel. You may believe differently, that is your right.

Funny, that is the same argument lefties use to disavow the Second Amendment.

So the forefathers thoughts on foreign policy are incorrect?

If you can show me a piece of evidence (i.e. passes the historical smell test-- not state propoganda) that Hitler had global aspirations (while Stalin made no bones about his own global aspirations) then perhaps you would be advocating a reasonable position. Otherwise, you are just advocating the exaltation of FDR.

The ACLU have taken Thomas Jefferson private letters and distorted them in order to bolster their own agenda. You've done the same by taking what Madison said and applying it to your own beliefs.

Are you implying that I have intentionally misquoted Madison?

Do you have an argument to counter the intentions of the forefathers?

Your point of view is completely reasonable, I just find it funny that so many people, including yourself, think Pax Americana has its roots in Conservatism or the forefathers.

So likewise, a passionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite Nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the Nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained; and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens, (who devote themselves to the favorite nation,) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation...

Howdy

The poster of this thread is correct in every particular. You dismiss the parallels between arafat and hitler, if I read you correctly, not because the intellectual premise is flawed, but because you abhor the notion of US troops going to the aid of Israel. Your fear is well founded, but ill placed.

It is not intellectually sound to wave your hands and dismiss the self evident truth that arafat is a tyrranical mass murderer. Hitler is a hero to arafat and his ilk, they are his ideological children. We know them as such by their idolizing of hitler and by their perfect conformance to every nazi outrage in their current pattern and practice.

The subtext of your rejection of obvious truth is an ardent desire to avoid war.

As disturbing as the perfect fidelity of the comparison of hitler and arafat is, it is even more disturbing to note how widespread and pervasive denial of this reality is in the world, and in American popular opinion.

This, too is eerily reminiscent of the rise of naziism and the utter failure of the free world to confront hitler when we had the chance to.

Instead, free peoples, being averse, understandably, to war, chose to intellectualize about hitler's grievances, and strove to forestall the gathering winds of war by placating the Beast.

But the Chamberlains of the world, history adamantly concludes, merely encouraged the spread of virulent evil. History teaches with no ambiguity whatsoever that failure to confront evil is incalculably more costly in terms of the destruction of human lives than confronting evil head on.

Your arguments conjur an image of Colin Powell returning from Israel waving a sheet of paper about, crowing that he has secured "peace in our time".

Oh, really?

There are universal truths and laws which transcends the laws of man: The strong have a duty to protect the weak, and evil tryants who murder innocents deserve to be taken out of the world.

I think the fathers spoke as they did because at that time America was a weak nation. They had just come from a corrupted Europe where none of the patriots cared to become involved in those unsavory battles. Also countries were governed by monarchs, that is something we in the 20th century have not seen. That may have played a part too.

Also just coming from a bloody war against England, they probably thought Americans would want to remain here and not become involved ever again. (Although they did send emisairies to Europe to become involved with certain treaties.)

I believe had Washington known either Hitler or Osama bin Laden, and known of the crimes they commited, he would have killed them personally -- or sent the Army to do the job.
