Ted Maher -- former Special Forces; Neonatal Intensive Care nurse
American Green Beret veteran and accomplished neonatal nurse Ted Maher has now been held 537 days without trial in Monaco's prison on trumped-up and false charges -- charges of causing the deaths of billionaire banker Edmond Safra and Ted's fellow nurse, Vivian Torrente on December 3, 1999. In truth, Ted fought valiantly against two armed, masked intruders to defend Edmond and Vivian and save their lives. During the struggle, Ted suffered severe knife wounds that required one hundred staples to close.
Billionaire banker Edmond Safra was cooperating with the FBI, who was investigating the IMF/Russian loans. Needing a convenient scapegoat for the murder of Safra, Monaco police subjected Ted to three days of grueling torture designed to extort a false confession from him. (see description in "BASIC TIMELINE" in Thread 1 - http://206.112.97.70/forum/a3ad8b097272d.htm ).
Monaco continues to hold Ted incommunicado, preventing him from sending or receiving mail. In fact, they restrict his communication with his family to one telephone call a week. This call is only allowed to last a few minutes and is always monitored closely to prevent any discussion of the case. Ted is forced by his jailers to take a psychotropic medication and is regularly "interrogated" by the Monaco judge -- Patricia Richet. Reports have been received that Judge Richet is a violent person who has displayed unstable behavior in the past. She allegedly has a history of assaulting a fellow judge, putting him in the hospital for a week. She also tears up letters from Ted's children in front of Ted rather than let him read them.
Hundreds of family, friends, work associates, parents of patients, and Army veterans who served with Ted have vouched for him as being a loyal husband, loving father, and an exemplary professional of great skill and compassion. Ted has also been defended by then-chairman of the House International Relations Committee Ben Gilman and Ted's congresswoman Sue Kelly, who have written Prince Rainier III of Monaco on Ted's behalf. Monaco has no evidence of any crime by Ted; they have no witnesses and no credible case against him. Even worse, Monaco has planted false evidence and suppressed vast amounts of exculpatory evidence -- even passing a special Monaco law that enables them to hold Ted four years without trial.
The Geneva prosecutor has said that Safra was killed for his cooperation with the FBI regarding the laundering through Safra's Republic National Bank of $4.8 billion in IMF loans to Russia.
Regardless of the reason "why," it is obvious that Ted Maher is a scapegoat for a murder by others. We are working to obtain his release and to correct the grave injustice being done to an American Green beret veteran and medical professional.
Ted Maher -- a giver of life, not a taker -- needs our help.

I've been watching this case since a friend in New York alerted me to it.
He's a Navy vet, a former SeaBee and all-Navy Boxing Champ, now involved with any number of whistle-blower cases.
He's worked with Mike Ruppert of copvcia.com, John Carman of customscorruption.com, and Mike Levine of Expert Witness Radio, and more.
When he told me of this case July 3, 2000, I began looking into it and have continued without interruption.
It's clear Ted's done not one per cent of what the prosecutor, judge, attorneys, juridical director, etcetera have claimed.
Anne Williamson of Contagion said she knew Ted was a scapegoat at the time of Safra's death in 1999.
Henry Kissinger called it "a cruel, vindictive act"--hardly a lone nut as per official coverup.
The chief prosecutor of Geneva has clammed up after saying Safra was killed for cooperating with the FBI in the laundering of $4.8 billion in IMF loans to Russia--an investigative journalist asked him and said he's no longer saying that--
Mike Maher and I each have a cite from reputable UK sources quoting the Geneva chief prosecutor's remark--
There's even more to this death than Lily getting rich--
There's covering up the involvement of the Clinton administration and Russians from Yeltsin and Putin to Borodin and Chernomyrdin.
Be that as it may--
Three years and Ted cannot receive mail or phone calls or visitors--without monitoring and censoring--
Nor can he write or phone or speak in person to anyone without repression--
All his alleged written and verbal comments for the last three years have been circulated independent of anything he's actually uttered.
The exculpatory evidence has been suppressed and the incriminating evidence manufactured.
Now, at his "trial" he's asked for Michael Griffith--but Monaco violates its law and refuses--
He will continue to be betrayed by Monaco's paid agents Georges Blot (whom Profonde Gorge says drinks like a fish and reeks like a distillery)--
And Donald Manasse who is reported to have said his job is to keep Monaco from looking bad--
Now when I heard that that struck me as odd because in my quaint old fashioned way I thought a defense lawyer's job was to defend his client--
I am reminded by a professor emeritus of Brooklyn Law that Monaco can do what it wants as it is a police state--
The State Department and Congressional committees see Monaco law and can't see how Monaco can refuse to allow Griffith to defend Ted--
Memo to Foggy Bottom--for the same reason a dog licks its balls:
Because it can.
Or worse yet, ya might be framed for the murder-execution of any one of Monaco's mobster-citizens; and, as is now an apparent Monaco modus operandi for dealing with such, "hits"?
You'll wind-up being "represented" by a Monaco appointed drunken sot which'll result in your rotting in a Monaco prison, forevermore.
To Monaco then, it's -Case Closed-

Monaco Prosecutor Daniel "Slander" Serdet seems to have dropped his drug smear of late--
Israeli journalist Boaz Bismuth told NBC's Sara James:
"It was the lady (Lily) who didn't want them (the security team) there."
Ted's been set up and the trial will not address a hundred anomalies of exculpatory nature including these.
Ted will be muzzled, as will his chosen attorney Michael Griffith, and Heidi as well.
The entire concocted bullshit of Ted's "plot" to "gain Safra's esteem" falls apart like Monaco judge d'instruction Patricia Richet.
Ted had Safra's esteem. Ted was leaving Monaco to return to New York.
The time was up on the contract and Ted was eager to return to his family and position at Columbia Presbyterian.
He didn't "set" any fires--a fireman who encountered the candle in the wastebasket was ordered to leave it and put out the major fire.
The "sudden conflagration" appeared at 6 a.m.--an hour after Ted was rushed to the hospital for 100 staples and multiple transfusions.
The planted lidocaine was sealed, labelled in French, and never tested for fingerprints and paper trail as Ted requested.
It's a frame job, an extorted false confession, still enforced with the kind of gestapo threats on wife and children only Monaco could muster.
