They're never going to get it. The war is just a NWO plot. It's all about Bush and the oil companies. Besides, a few million dead in America's cities would be a small price to pay if only the Paleo Ideal could be realized. It will probably be necessary for America to "hit rock bottom" anyway so that the Paleos can step in as saviors (that's a quotation from a Paleo on another thread). And in the end, what's protecting Americans from weapons of mass destruction next to the visceral satisfaction of seeing Mexican men, women, and children herded into deportation trucks?
I hope your right, heck you may be right, you think I don't want to love Bush and be proud of him? But it is our duty as citizens not to fall down on our responsibility to be vigilant, to demand answers and accountability, to threaten repurcussions at the voters booth, and to act on them when called for, and to howl like banshees at injustice and unlawfulness. I feel like the thin red line, very thin, annorexic in fact. But hey, I've spent my life out of the mainstream, not a herd animal I guess. So please, ya'll excuse me while I do my howing like a banchee bit for my country.
And how many of our officials are being paid off to look the other way when it comes to illegals?
And that's not a bad thing, because hispanic immigrants have brought a lot of good things to this country. Some xenophobes like to focus on crime and drugs, but they've also provided a cheap labor base--something vital to our economy. Immigration is good for America. Legal immmigration is better than illegal immigration, so shutting the borders to illegals, but allowing a steady flow of legal immigrants would be the best solution in terms of our economy and our national defense.
And an extra added benefit to our masters is the death of the U.S. Constitution when they have some sort of legal basis for declaring Martial Law, just to make it look good to the people when they cry for safety at any cost.
But lawmakers now admit that most illegal immigrants won't leave voluntarily --
Which begs the questions, then how will you get rid of them, they certainly are not going to come forth voluntairly. And we certainly aren't going door to door.
And then there was THIS little tidbit:
Top congressional Democrats visited Mexico last weekend to reinforce support for legalizing the 3 million undocumented Mexicans working in the United States
Let the Democrats talk to them.
Bravo! Well and truely said.
You know, I am quite grateful I don't have YOUR moral compass. I prefer the God of Mercy and Redemption, and that is Who provides mine.
Nice obfuscation. Keep up the good work. Free Republic is filling up with guys just like you.
Surely you know there is plenty of public support for enforcing our immigration laws. Even California passed anti-illegal alien laws by a large majority.
Get over your little ego and discuss the real issue if you wish, but quit wasting our time.
I propose arrest and deportation for anyone breaking our laws. Just like they do now in thousands and thousands of case. It's really easy and doesn't require your permission. Regards.
From http://eric-web.tc.columbia.edu/ncbe/immigration/hispanic.htm
Just over one-fourth (27 percent) of Hispanic families lived below the poverty level in 1996, about the same level for black families (26%), and more than four times the rate for non-Hispanic white families (6%). Hispanic children were more likely than non-Hispanic white children to be living in poverty, compared with only 13.2% of non-Hispanic white children. In 1993, the poverty rate for Cubans was 17 percent compared to Puerto Ricans with a 35% poverty rate. Puerto Rican families had the lowest average income in 1993, at $20, 000.
In 1992, 26.9 percent of Hispanics received some type of major means-tested assistance (covers AFDC, general assistance, SSI, food stamps, Medicaid, and housing assistance), compared with 10.3 percent of non-Hispanic whites and 33.3 percent of blacks. One in eight, or 500,000 Hispanics mothers between 15-44 were on the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and nearly half of Hispanic WIC mothers were born outside of the United States. For comparison, one in sixteen or 2 million mothers that are not of Hispanic origin were WIC recipients.
The Hispanic unemployment rates have been consistently higher than non-Hispanic unemployment rates. In 1992, the Hispanic unemployment rate has risen to 11 percent compared to 8 percent for non-Hispanics. In 1994, unemployment ranged from 7 percent for Cubans to a high of 14 percent for Puerto Ricans. In 1996, 10 percent of Hispanics were unemployed compared to 5.5 percent of non-Hispanics.
Bump. Reform party money drying up?
If you knew anything, you'd know I am NOT a guy; and I have been here a heck of a lot longer that you have, so I am not "filling up" anything.
Since the point of my original statement obviously went right over your head, I won't waste anymore time trying to explain it to you.
In case you didn't notice, there is a war on, and we can't really spare any of the military to do this. I am sure you will want to contribute your money and perhaps your service to the project, won't you?
