[history]
LAST month, President Bush shut down three U.S.-based "charities" accused of funneling money to Hamas, a terrorist organization that last year alone was responsible for at least 20 bombings, two shootings and a mortar attack that killed 77 people. These "charities" - The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the Global Relief Foundation and the Benevolence International Foundation - raised $20 million last year alone.

Is'nt it comforting to see Steponallofus on "Sam and Cokie" every week now that we know that his advice put political ambition ahead of American lives?

Clinton never slept. He just liked to use the bed a lot.

Liberals felt that the civil rights of suspected terrorists were more important than cutting off their funds. It's called enabling and it's disgusting and it's worse than I thought.
This is incredibly stupid. But I can see the liberals doing it. When it comes to a decision which involve political correctness - they mentally weigh the consequences and PC wins. This attitude isn't so much a sign of leadership as one of fitting in. An ability to "see" dark PC consequences behind every door.
Clinton and the liberals waged a war on the terrorist's civil rights.

"Pulling it all together, what we have right here in our own country are all of the ingredients necessary for a totalitarian police state. We have a federal government that nobody in his right mind would trust, which lies to us incessantly, uses illegal force against its citizens with impunity, and collaborates with totalitarian dictators under cover of a massive propaganda campaign conducted by our supposedly free press. Our major information media are dominated by closet totalitarians who pay lip service to democracy while covertly promoting the interests of communist despots. The political opposition is made up largely of cowards who are so intimidated by our totalitarian propaganda media they are unable to offer effective resistance to even the most egregious violations of civil liberties by the corrupt Clinton regime. They have become, in the fullest sense of the term, Weimar Republicans. And finally, we have that which makes it all possible, a listless, docile, dumbed-down public who gape mindlessly at all of the above phenomena without the slightest glimmer of comprehension, and prattle the latest propaganda cliches dumped into their empty heads by the mainstream media."
"The Elian affair has truly given us a glimpse into the abyss of tyranny. The message that comes through loud and clear is that the system isn't working. The question that remains to be answered is whether we still possess the intelligence and fortitude necessary to fix it."

The liberals are beginning to hold our safety near the fulcrum but as we see through Dasheel their power is the priority. The work at hand is so important to the New administration they can't waste time pointing fingers. We know now but I predict when the crisis is over the dumn, demorats and unions will support another clinton.

In 1996 the government of Sudan had Osama bin Laden in
their custody and offered to hand him over to the United
States. Bill Clinton and his liberal cohorts elected not t
o take the Sudanese up on their offer. Why? Because they
couldn't figure out a legal means of trying him! But
Clinton sure knew how to argue the meaning of is!I am just a regular old ex-squid, but even I know a SEAL Team could have gone in and accomplished that mission!
And left a few surprises for anyone stupid enough to look!!

Don't watch Stephanapolis. He is a rat - we should boycott his every intent and maybe one day he would tell the truth about the scumbag of all time - Bill Clinton.
To: kattracks
Liberalism at it's best. Clinton should be exiled to France.
To: Shenandoah
That is why Marines hate the Navy!
We keep dropping you off places where everyone wants to kill you!
And if you survive, we'll do it again!!
I hope and pray that all Marines live to take the next ride!!!

And we're supposed to believe that Katie Stephanopoulos will be unbiased as an early morn infotainment anchor. Why don't we have Freepers go stand in front of the stupid window and hold signs saying that GMA? is biased and Katie Steph must go?
To: kattracks
Might I add another question here ? Why in God's name did Clinton "attack" and go to war against the Christian Serbs in Kosovo and side with the Muslim terrorist org of the KLA knowing the KLA is a " terrorist " muslim org funded by no other than Bin Laden ?????? Why, why, why ???
To: kattracks
"FBI agents have stated that they were prevented from opening either criminal or national-security cases because of a fear that it would be seen as "profiling" Islamic charities." Everyone knew that only right-wing charities were to be profiled.

This is the real reason Clinton did nothing about terrorism and why I think he gave secrets away to the Chinese. And to think the liberal media insisted that character doesn't matter.
To: kattracks
It's just a matter of priorities, what's in the national interest or what's in the sociopath's interest. Clinton was and is the model liberal, the leftists have found their messiah.

You ask the billion dollar question......we used depleted uranium on our bombs, we dropped cluster bombs on civilians, we bombed a passenger train........to aid Albania, a country that was on the list of terrorist nations when the conflict became Madeline Halfbright's cause celebre!!!! This episode will be to our everlasting shame!

And to think the liberal media insisted that character doesn't matter. Well, it doesn't matter...to them.

While Clinton was politically correct, the Hamas flourished. Dickie Morris has been unloading on Clinton's un-anti-terrorism programs for weeks now.
To: kattracks
George Stephanopoulos, the ankle bracelet that kept Clinton on the liberal reservation, LOL. Good line. Morris definitely has a talent for hitting the nail on the head. What a shame that he's such a sleeze.

This article is an excellent accompaniment to Greg Pierce's article in today's Washington Times. I think it's very telling, with one important exception...Morris is leaving out his role in the story of Clinton's failure to prosecute a war against terrorism.
It was Morris who suggested the strategy of linking the OKC bombing through "right-wing hate radio" to the Republican majority in Congress. It was this strategy that led to the government shutdown of 1995, the subsequent loss of seats in the House in '96 and '98, and the end of the Contract with America. It also pre-saged the Clinton impeachment defense.
Allowing Clinton to characterize terrorism as an "off-shore" threat prior to OKC might have prevented Morris from proposing what came to be a successful strategy for Willie.

He was right in the middle of the terror tactics against Clinton enemies. Do you remember that propaganda documentary put out by Klinton's Hollywood buddies called "The War Room"? The final scene has Steponallofus threatening someone on the phone because they were inquiring about Bubba's sleazy past in Arkansas.
I bet the magazine you were thinking about is "George", which is JFK Jr's old mag.

And this is why, if Congress holds hearings on the Sept 11th attack, Bubba should be subpoenaed, placed under oath, and grilled about the motives for his inaction.

Edward Zehr is dead? I hadn't heard. That saddens me greatly. How did he die?
Whatever happened to Washington Weekly? They used to be a relatively important investigative news outlet, then they all but disappeared, save for Mr. Zehr's column.
To: trout creek
Clinton is not the only one guilty of holding up investigations of groups suspected of funding terrorism.Just where did you get your information? Are you a member of the FBI? As a long time lurker and member I am going to point out that you are a member since Dec 2001.
