It's time for you to get a reality check, if you still believe all the establishment swill.

If you really believe this pseudo-scientific swill watch out for the guys in the white suits.

I bet they couldn't come close to the real features in the picture they were not allowed to see in advance!

It's an art no doubt. But they do very well. There are muscle attachment points to start with, and they can tell roughly what racial groups it belongs to. They even put the mouth and eyes in right side up.

give me some insight into how/why would this 'shift' occur?....

The story we heard up in Hapgood's hometown was that ice would accumulate near the poles, but not symmetrically. Eventually earth's wobble, which normally has a precession rate of once per 22,000 years and an arc of 23 degrees radius gets more unstable and shifts in one day to a new point of stability. Spinning tops do this. The crust itself might shift without needing the entire core to move as well. That would stir things up. It might also 'splain what happened when Joshua fit the battle of Jerico and the sun stood still or went backward or whatever it did.

See posts #120 & 124, and if possible, investigate with an open mind.

I keep thinking of a sudden violent move. I suppose it could have 'slipped' to a new location over a number of days, weeks or months, huh.

That would stir things up. It might also 'splain what happened when Joshua fit the battle of Jerico and the sun stood still or went backward or whatever it did.

Joshua reports that the sun and moon stood still. Velikovsky reports reading from "The Mexican annals"(?), "The night did not end for a long time....The sun would rise just above the horizon and stand still."

I've read other sources that report that the sun rose twice in the same day but the writer attributed that to a close flyby of a comet. I'll keep my mind open but, we're getting a little far out there for my comfort.

"The story we heard up in Hapgood's hometown was that ice would accumulate near the poles, but not symmetrically."

Wouldn't ice accumulation occur greatest during the peak of an ice age.(..or have reached maximum accumulation) Might that be a good probable date to look for a 'shift' of the poles? Might all ice ages begin to end after one of these shifts...and might this shift be normal for all ices, hmmmm. (New areas of thought for me. lol) Thinking to myself, If weather patterns move from west to east wouldn't it rain out most on the western side of any land mass and the ice would accumulate most there so any shift would be toward the west?

If it's not too much trouble, could you add me to your list, as well? I love this sort of thing, but as my time at FR is limited, I usually miss a lot of what's posted. Thanks!

And I'd appreciate it too. I usually get pinged for this sort of thread, but if it can be made official,so much the better. "Gods,Graves,Glyphs, and Myths" is the list title that I like, but I like dinosaurs too,and dragons,so maybe a separate bump list for those things is also in order.

Thanks for the link in #57. I've been gone this weekend, but as I was reading the thread today I was thinking exactly of Atlantis in Bolivia. TLC, or Discovery Channel, or another of their multiples of channels, has been airing a show on this subject matter in recent months. They make a very compelling case. If the archaeologists theory proves correct, then we could be seeing the first real proof with this find off of Cuba.

A new timetable of history might finally be acknowledged, erasing innumerable errors. If they were wrong regarding the time for the building of the Sphinx, and have now found errors in their carbon dating, they might even discover that the Incas, or Toltecs, or whomever, may have been direct descendants of Atlantis. Have you read any of the linguistic analysis of the Meso- and Southern American names and words compared to the spelling of Atlantis?

Many of the incredible archaological sites/pyramids,etc have been proven to be rebuilt multiple times on top of the same site or buildings, especially in the Americas. The buildings they are discovering off Cuba may only be the top layer of a new world history. Let's hope that our generation is the one to learn the truths of history.

Thanx for posting this! I get such a kick out of reading LM Howe's meanderings. Haven't time to read all now; will get back to it later.
