Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is under active consideration by Donald Trump's campaign to be his running mate, news site Axios reported on Saturday, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation.
Trump could pick Haley if he were convinced she could help him win the presidency, avoid a potential prison sentence and cover tens of millions in legal bills if he loses, the report said.
Haley, the former South Carolina governor and a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, ended her log-shot challenge to Republican presidential frontrunner Trump in March.
She said it was likely Trump - who repeatedly belittled her candidacy - would be the Republican nominee but did not endorse him.

I don’t really have any idea who it will be, I refuse to get wrapped up in one person and get mad if that person isn’t chosen.
Could it be DeSantis, sure it could be, it’s just as likely it will be someone else.
My point is that there is no one off the list, with the possible exception of Kristi Noem, her dog killing story is not going to play in a national election. I won’t be surprised by anyone getting the nomination.

Haley does have an inexplicable appeal to virtue signaling Republicans and independents but most of primary her support came from Democrats who were crossing over to sabotage Trump for Biden
I am sure Haley is the furthest thing from his mind. The only way this MSM wet dream could conceivably happen is if Trump makes the calculation that he needs independents and a few Never Trumpers back in his column to overcome any polling deficits he sees he may have about convention time in the swing states. She’s a birdbrain and he hates her, but he’s a businessman and sleeping with your enemy to come up with the preferred result is not unthinkable. He would then probably keep her busy visiting dead leaders’ funerals overseas and ignore her for 4 years.

Why must it even be a women? Political Doborah’s as Golda Meir and Marg Thatcher are rare. Yet aside from Desantis, I cannot think of any men Trump might pick.
