Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message on Thursday vowing that Israel "will stand alone" to defeat Hamas, if necessary, after President Biden threatened to withhold weapon shipments to the Jewish State should Netanyahu proceed with an invasion of Rafah.
Netanyahu echoed the 1948 Israeli war of independence in his remarks, saying that despite a weapons embargo on Israel, Israelis had fought and defeated the Arab nations who attacked the nascent Jewish state, thanks to their bravery and unity.
"Today, we are much stronger," the prime minister said. "We are determined, and we are united in order to defeat our enemies and those who want to destroy us."
“ If we need to stand alone, we will stand alone," Netanyahu continued.
Netanyahu’s remarks come a day after Biden said that he wouldn’t supply Israel with weapons to attack Rafah, Hamas' last stronghold in Gaza, over concerns about more than one million civilians sheltering there.

Why not threaten Egypt with not supplying military aircraft and air defense systems, approved earlier in the Biden administration, unless Egypt opens up the border crossing for civilians?

Making it easier for Russia to take Ukraine isn’t in our national interest, either. Russia certainly isn’t going to reciprocate by backing away from Cuba and Venezuela, etc., which it uses like a club on us by creating waves of refugees with which to flood or border.

Yes, there was a weapons embargo that included the US - but the embargo wasn’t employed by everyone. At that time, Stalin wanted to be able to have some more influence on what happened in the Middle East, so he got Czechoslovakia (which was a Soviet satellite) to send Israel weapons - to great fanfare in Israel.
Also, the Soviet Union was the first country to recognize Israel as a state. The second was the US, who didn’t want to let Stalin get a march on them. Just a point - but Israel wasn’t entirely alone at that time. ( Then, after a while, when Israel allied itself with the US, the Soviet Union did a 180 and became a strong ally of the Arabs.)

It’s not about the Ukraine and Russia. Or Russia and China or Taiwan. It’s about staying in office, money and power. It doesn’t have to make sense.
I hope that Bibi is reminded that Israel never stands alone unless she is outside of God’s will. If she is, then God will use every oppertunity to bring her to her rìghtful place.
Israel belongs to God. People messing with his land is messing with HIM.
