CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig said Tuesday on “The Source” that during the New York business record case, adult film star Stormy Daniels’ cross-examination by former President Donald Trump’s lawyers was “disastrous.”
Honig said, “It’s hard for me to believe that a juror heard that and thought, this is entirely made up. There may well be some embellishments…but I think it’s quite clear they had sex in 2006 in that hotel room. But the cross-exam, boy, her responses were disastrous. I mean, ‘Do you hate Donald Trump?’ Yes. Of course, she does. That’s a big deal. When the witness hates the person whose liberty is at stake, that’s a big damn deal. And she’s putting out tweets, fantasizing about him being in jail. That really undermines the credibility.”

He mainly talked about the direct exam. The “disaster” was during X.
The cross was yesterday. They do not have court on Wednesdays. Day off, which is rather unusual. They usually have Fridays off. Personally I think they changed the date so Orthodox Jews could not sit on the jury because they might be late for Sabbath. Orthodox Jews favor Trump.

A responsible juror would get up and walk out when she described organ sizes, apparently learned from her pornographic experiences. The judge should be removed from the bench for allowing it. One wonders if her hotel experience is actually one of her film deals.

Hopefully he’ll get at least a hung jury/ mistrial. Still I have hope: Marchan knows this case cannot withstand appeal if there is a conviction. I’m giving it a solid 15% that he grants a motion for directed verdict
And the prosecution must absolutely LOVE how their witnesses are publicly going rogue and publicly proclaiming their extreme bias against the defendant. /s Cohen’s going to leave that courtroom in a bucket after Trump’s lawyers finish with him
Agreed... this entire thing is just a circus for the media, had nothing to do with the law and hasn’t since day one.
Its about getting all this “dirty” stuff out there in the press.
Its about getting a conviction no matter what, even if they know it will be overturned...
This is all about the election and nothing about the law.
This is a prosecution forum friendly NYC jury with a compromised NYC Democrat partisan judge who should have recused himself but, of course, did not. What has evidence and testimony got to do with their ultimate verdict? There are other forces at work here.
I heard it started yesterday, wasn’t going well for her and the judge nipped it in the bud and cut it off. No trial on Wed’s so starts back tomorrow.
