It could also be that the polling really says Trump will win, and they are all protecting each other, delays that lead to dismissal. I believe all DA’s and Judges cover for each other.

Smith wasn’t even eligible to BE special prosecutor. Democrats have made a a big mess of everything... But no surprise there.
Over the last four or five days, I’ve seen some pretty
unusual activity on the Leftist networks. They are
criticizing Biden, and talking down some of the cases
against Trump. I’m not saying they aren’t presenting
negative takes too, but they are openly stating there
are problems with these cases. We wouldn’t have heard
that even a month ago. Not sure what’s going on,
perhaps just making the case for Biden’s exit.
If he wasn’t eligible to be one, why is he still walking around being treated as an official special prosecutor?
Are they just going to let the charade go on, or actually do something?
The Emperor has no clothes, so where’s the little boy to call out that he is naked?
Or does Smith get to strut around peacocking as if requirements do not matter?
Democrats have decided they get to win no matter what they have to do. At some point very soon it will be impossible to share a country with them anymore.

I’d also note that Smith redacted quite a bit of information in what he did turn over, and the warrant, for which there is clearly no valid reason except to prejudice the public, and deny Trump’s legal team the ability to respond.
