RainFurrest 2015 was one for the books. The convention, filled with full-grown adults dressed as bears, wearing diapers and taking drugs, catapulted the often sex-crazed subculture cast into the public eye.
It was meant to be an annual convention designed for and by furries. But the debauchery that ensued left animal loving organizers banned from ever holding another event in the city of Seattle after brass at the hotel they defiled spread word about what happened the social gathering.
Permanently plastered in the annals of internet history, the event started to go off the rails when someone purposely loosened a bolt on one of the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center's toilets, causing it to flood instantly.
The floor was soon filled with two inches of putrid toilet water - the first sign hosts had overestimated the wholesomeness of their guests, and were losing control.
Things only worsened from there - as attendees indulged in drink and drugs that eventually gave way to destruction. A series of arrest ensued, as attendees donned diapers and even went as far to defecate in a pool. A hot tub was also flooded, when a person shoved towels into the pump filling it with water. The hotel was left in ruins.
After receiving a bill for more than $100,000 in damages, organizers would eventually issue a cryptic statement as to why the event was called off permanently.

Friend of our daughter was living with a “brony”. He eventually started identifying as a girl and developed a relationship with a much younger 18 year old girl identifying as something or other.
My daughter’s theory has always been that a lot of this stuff is a gimick for loser older men to hook up with young girls.

Not to downplay the destruction wrought by the furry pervs, but I call BS on this one. The water was probably from the tank and/or supply line and therefore clean, not putrid.

IIRC that poster is a Brony. I think he makes a distinction between furries and Bronies, saying the former are focused on sexual kink whereas the latter are just nerds.

“Furry” has been equivalent to “pervert” since the beginning of “furries”, IMO.
I’m probably the biggest Brony on this site, I know there are a few others and a furry or two as well. Bronies tend to be nerds, while furries tend to be gay.
This comes of normalizing Peter Pan Syndrome, wherein children refuse to grow up into responsible adults.
Extended childhood grew from the 1950s, when the concept of carefree “teenagers” began, through 1960s hippiedom, to today’s flood of juveniles living with parents or staing in school into their 30s, health insurance keeping kids on the parental policy until 26, etc. This unnatural social pattern produces learned incompetence, dependency, and eventually psychosis, all hidden under a blankie of fun and tolerance. Eventually reality will intervene.

Have been to about 50 furry conventions and most are well run and they’re well behaved.

I’m 62 years old and do panels on Classic Cartoons. We play game shows like Press Your Luck. Art, writing panels, talent shows, and
dances. While some night events may be “adult” there are families who attend and that is like a pop culture comic con.
At a recent con in Maine. one panel was about the Moxie soft drink. A gathering of “greymuzzles”, older furs—we shout at clouds like Abe Simpson and say get off our lawn.
Car customization events. Ham radio panel.
One writer went to a con in CT expecting to
find debauchery. She later wrote “It was kind of like a Catholic school Halloween party.”
The ones who destroy hotels, initiate “drama” etc...are a minority.
This is the result of the left closing of insane asylums back in the 70s

There is zero doubt that a large percentage of furries are t he same people who would protest on campus again America. They’re doing their part to destroy America.
