Fury after five WV middle school student who protested a trans athlete's participation are BANNED from future competitions as state's AG fights for their freedom of speech

ive West Virginia middle school students who protested a trans athlete's participation in a shot put competition have been banned from future competitions.

Becky Pepper-Jackson, 13, competed in the Harris County Middle School Track and Field Championship on April 18, two days after a federal appeals court ruled West Virginia’s transgender sports ban violates the teen's right under Title IX.

Five girls from Lincoln Middle School stepped up to the circle for their turn, then refused to throw the ball.

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education on the student's behalf after they were banned from future events.

'I will do everything in my power to defend these brave young girls. This is just wrong. We must stand for what’s right and oppose these radical trans policies,' Morrisey said on Monday.

The Attorney General posted his tweet in response to Women's rights activist and former college swimmer Riley Gaines, who has stood by female athletes who have refused to compete against transgender athletes.

A local school official made that decision. Easy solution. Take over or recall the school board in an election, then fire him. Make these local officials accountable .

Maybe they could put these girls on the rack and REALLY teach them to not oppose the Democrat party.

The easiest solution for a school official is to dump the entire scholastic sports program -- for boys AND girls.

Fighting a Federal civil rights battle would bankrupt a local school district even if they end up winning the case.

I almost wish Riley Gaines would just disappear from public view in these matters. She's come out and publicly supported these girls for doing something she had every opportunity to do herself as a collegiate athlete, but refused to do.

Three feet longer than second place is a lot in girls shot putting. As Pepper gets older he will get stronger and weight train and those distance disparity will increase by a lot.

Part of the problem with getting rid of these clowns prior to school board election is the state constitution mandates separation of the educrat establishment from control by the legislature - which means control by the taxpayer. The educrat establishment sends a bill to the legislature ( and by extension county supervisors) with the demand pay this amount or your children won’t learn to read etc.and it will be your fault. You want details as to what you’re spending money on? Tough! That state constitution article was intended to keep politics out of education. So politics sneaks in the back door through the educrats. 2022 midterms there was an effort to change the state constitution & give the legislature more control and insight into educrat land. The referendum was demagogued to death and defeated. So you have what you have!

The deranged male is violating State Law.

Our Attorney General is suing to support State Law against a rogue federal court, and to support some aggrieved girls against a rogue pervert and a rogue school board.

One little confused queer doesn’t define our state.
Morrisey will beat this down.

So much for the macho men in red states.

Every small town in Red State America has one blue-haired Karen with a "In this house we believe..." sign in her yard.

She moved there from Portland.

She has nothing but time on her hands. She gets involved in everything from the school board to the local library. She runs for city council and wins with a dozen votes because nobody shows up. While her neighbors enjoy football games and quiet weekend BBQs, she's busy being an activist.

It would be as simple as having all the biological females refuse to participate in any event allowing biological men to compete against girls. They might be able to ban the first five girls for doing it, but they can’t ban all of them.

I know you understand the difference from when Riley competed and now. When she competed there wasn’t much info on it. No one had spoken out against it. It did take a little time to realize what was happening.
If she was competing today don’t you think she would refuse? People esp young girls needed a voice. She was willing to be it even as she has been vilified and received death threats.
