CNN’s Burnett: I Don’t Get Why Johnson Is ‘Choosing to Get Involved in’ Columbia’s Affairs
Breitbart ^ | 04/24/2024 | Ian hatchett

During an interview with House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) that was aired on Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” host Erin Burnett said she was trying to understand why Johnson is “choosing to get involved in” the issues at Columbia University, a school that receives indirect money from the federal government.

Burnett introduced the interview by saying, “There are pro-Palestinian protests across the United States spreading, violent clashes today between police and students at USC and UT-Austin, where more than 20 people were arrested. This follows protests at NYU, Brown University, and Columbia University where an encampment has taken over part of the center of campus, more than 100 have been arrested, in-person classes have been canceled after eight straight days of demonstrations. I was on that campus earlier today to interview the House Speaker, Mike Johnson.”

RE: CNN’s Burnett: I Don’t Get Why Johnson Is ‘Choosing to Get Involved in’ Columbia’s Affairs

Does Columbia receive money from Washington DC? If so, there’s the answer.

because he is trying to burnish his “conservative” credentials after surrendering to a retard in the white house.

Johnson is an amateur. The most skilled GOP members manage to side with the left and do extreme damage over and over and over and keep people from noticing, preserving the illusion that the GOP is somehow conservative. Johnson's problem is he made it too obvious what he's really about.

No but seriously, why are protests at Columbia University the business of the Speaker of the House? It’s not even in his own state.

You answer your own question in your subsequent post (#18):

The fact is, Federal dollars should have stopped going to universities the moment they became ideologically captured by the Left. That it takes anti-Israel protests to draw even a slight bit of negative attention is quite frankly a sign of how perverse Congress’s priorities are (as if we didn’t need more reminders).

Because boatloads of Federal dollars (ie our money) goes to grants for these overpriced luxury resorts, otherwise known as universities.

Each of these leading Universities obtain tons of money for scientific research from the federal government. Each such grant has a significant percentage siphoned off by the University and is used for general expenses to help support the functioning of the institution. The federal government has every reason to get involved.

Why would CNN pursue such a line of reasoning? Is it another organization under the influence of Qatar or other malign elements from the Middle East?

Another reason for the Speaker of the House to check in on Columbia University is that we just had a Congressional investigation into anti-Semitic racism that had been occurring at Universities such as Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania. A visit from a high ranking Congressman might get some action in halting the anti-Semitic racism that is breaking out now.

Mike Johnson is an antichrist. He will be President, or has been told he can be. I didn’t say THE one. He is third in line behind Kamala, the Dems love him, the Rinos love him. When Biden is pushed out of the second story window, KH will be forced to step aside, while Speaker Johnson grabs the reins, and take his spot on the Dem ticket. The dude is devious and obviously evil.

Whomever came up with the Kalergi plan didn’t think this through very well.

That would be - surprise! - Richard Nikolaus Eijiro, Count of Coudenhove-Kalergi.

Here's a very biased article from Wikipedia about the Kalergi Plan

The government needs to end its involvement with Columbia University. That includes all Federal money.

What does Burnett have to say about Biden involving himself in other countries’ affairs?

Probably nothing.

No but seriously, why are protests at Columbia University the business of the Speaker of the House?

It is the job of the uniparty to defend Israel at all costs. Nationwide (or worldwide) demonstrations against Israel is a definite problem for the cause.

The United States attracted the vote of precisely nobody to oppose the Security Council action to recognize a Palestinian state; it had to cast a veto upon an otherwise unanimous vote of approval, with two abstentions.

There are mass demonstrations against Netanyahu in Israel.

Johnson is certainly not capable of handling the House.

Amazing that he has time to handle Columbia too.

This is an attempt to throw red meat to the Republican conservative base which he and the rest of the congressional Republicans just got through shoving a knife into their backs once again with their Ukraine crap show.

It’s all kabuki theater, Johnson is establishment trash and never to be trusted.
