He absolutely did cave. No one would argue that our national security is the number one issue, now and always. It is always the number one priority.

Johnson’s actions spoke loudly, clearly, and in no uncertain terms, that he, the democrats and many Republicans do not consider border security as the most important issue of our time, and NOT their number one priority.

Johnson had incredible leverage there, not only on our national security, but actually any issue, and he gave it away for NOTHING!

Ooops, I stand corrected, he did get a democratic party flag-waving party in return.

Johnson had no leverage. At least 85% of the House — including most of those who voted against this stupid bill — are fully on board with the foreign/corporate welfare agenda.

They passed border security a year ago. So it was their no. one priority. The Senate Dems blocked it, but that is not Johnson’s fault. You can’t operate on the premise that you aren’t going to do anything else until the Dems pass border security. Or if you do, then I ask why you’re just discovering that now, a year after the Dems blocked it? The GOP has passed a lot of things since then.

Yes, the GOP was in favor of this Ukraine funding. When you add in the GOP votes in the Senate, a majority of Republicans voted for it. Also, the polling shows that it is popular among voters. Even Trump did not oppose it. In fact it was Trump who suggested that it be a loan rather than a gift. So he helped get it passed.
