The 'Mostly Mozart’ festival was canceled in favor of more ‘inclusive’ fare,' -- rappers, pop groups and an LGBTQ mariachi band while hanging a 10-foot-wide disco ball above its fountain.”

They’re looking to attract a higher-class crowd.
There is also the self-flagellation from the Lincoln Center for being built on a supposedly once black area:
“The displacement of Indigenous, Black, and Latinx families that took place prior to the construction of our campus is abhorrent.”
Here’s where the lie takes place:
“For ‘all the ‘abhorrent’ claims of the ‘displacement of Indigenous, Black, and Latinx families, an internal census revealed a population that was, in fact, overwhelmingly white, with a ratio of three to one, while the area’s black population was in the single percentage points.’

They don’t seem to be very good at cancelling Mozrt.
Salieri finally wins.
I’m sure their rich donors are in agreement with this.
“LC’s chief artistic officer, Shanta Thake, has vowed to lean into this further, too, claiming that such music ‘belongs to everyone.’”
Such music ‘for everyone’ being from two superstar queens from the blockbuster reality competition ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ followed by ‘Argentinian queercore,’ comedians of ‘Indian heritage’ and ‘silent disco,’”
All seats are most likely sold out already - who wouldn’t rather hear this new line up than an “old stale, pale, male” composer Mozart who was probably a slave owner too
“The displacement of Indigenous, Black, and Latinx families ”
Wow… way to hijack Indian grievances.
Those Irish draft protestors during the civil war in NYC were correct.
Those donors left during the lockdowns. The future of these taxpayer supported "arts" centers is the lowest common denominator.
I suspect with New York City having to pay for hundreds of thousands of invaders, these venues will lose further funding, along with their major donors who have fled to Florida.
Maybe they should turn the Lincoln Center into a “refugee center” right now and be done with it. I’m sure several thousand mattresses could be moved in after the seats are removed.
Given the Lincoln Center audience, maybe it will work. The people who used to regularly support classical music concerts have migrated to Woke music. So while this is a little sad that another amazingly valuable part of Western Culture is being sacrificed to medicore Wokeness, I can’t protest too much. I’m not the one going to Mozart concerts.
At a minimum, the guy sounds like a bit of a goof.
It's happening all around the country. This past Saturday, I went to Fullerton High School in Fullerton, Calif. to see a production of the Broadway musical "Chicago." The historic auditorium in which it was performed was until recently called the Plummer Auditorium, named for the renowned local educator Louis E. Plummer. However, it was renamed a couple years ago because someone found that Plummer may have had some sort of "ties" to the Ku Klux Klan. Before the show started, the master of ceremonies reminded the audience that the auditorium was built on the land occupied by a local Indian tribe more than two centuries ago.
13% control? YES
Enter post civilization with a jungle bunny beat. Reminds me of the scene from Animal House at the dive with Otis Day and the Knights.
Worse, Lincoln was a Republican. The Horror!
Wasn’t this communist asset just given millions of COVID bucks by fed.gov?
Oh, there you go again, with facts, logic and reason, again./sarc
Who stole the land from another Indian tribe, who stole it from another Indian tribe, and so on, and so on.....
