On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Biden Campaign Co-Chair Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) stated that “401(k)s are not about people’s everyday lives.” And “we’ve got to get” people “to see…that inflation today is about 40% of what it was when Joe Biden took office.” And get people to see “that which is real, not what they may hear on social media.”
Clyburn said, “I think that we have to focus on people’s everyday lives. And 401(k)s are not about people’s everyday lives. And I do believe, just from my own observations, from the conversations I’ve had with people, they are concerned about things like inflation, but what we’ve got to get them to see is that inflation today is about 40% of what it was when Joe Biden took office. And so, the inflation rates are down and people’s incomes are up. Unemployment is on the decrease. And, although we see the prices at the stores costing more money, people are, in fact, earning greater incomes. So, what we’ve got to do is make sure that people see the policies of the Biden administration, how they affect their everyday lives, and get them to see, in his policies, that which is real, not what they may hear on social media. One of the focus group people talked about social media and the misrepresentation, disinformation, all of those things are out there, and that’s the battle that we have to fight, and we’ve got to do a better job of fighting it more effectively.”

Last month inflation rose .5%. The average household income is $87,000. So that is a loss of $435 of yearly purchase power in one month alone.
How many tanks of gas will that buy? Lets put it another way. I pay $6.50 for a pound of ground beef at a local farm. I now loss the equivalent of 67 pounds of ground beef last month alone.
The rate of increase has dropped. The actual prices went up and have not gone back down.
$4.20 here, and rising

I did look it up. Inflation today is over twice as high as it was when Joe Biden took office; over 3% today compared to 1.4% in January 2021.

Dear idiot Biden Administrators:
The cost of living has effectively doubled in the last 3 years for most Americans. Since the rigged 2020 election, office, the value of my 401k has remained within a few percent of the same. Therefore, I have ‘lost’ nearly half of my investment as a tax for your spending spree and resultant and completely predictable inflation.
I see no new infrastructure. I see companies and small businesses failing. I see Americans (except rich and connected Democrats) hounded by government agencies. I see friends with dead loved ones from the Fentanyl epidemic. I see working class families struggling to survive.
Nearly 4 years later, the nation is poorer, the military less capable, medicine contaminated by national politics, the people less safe, war wages around the world, and the Rich Man north of Richmond gets richer-especially politicians selling secrets- while everyone else struggles.
You might think your doing a ‘great job’ but the only only things you can rally around are ‘abortion rights’ which is now a State decision, +++ rights (pedophiles), illegals rights, criminals, and that people hate Trump because the media (government run) told them too. Your pathetic, sad, insulated, and frankly could care less about the working American. I have faith that your competitive in November because under the administration the FedGov is now nearly half the GDP (destroyed small business at record pace wile expanding government), voting is rigged, and many people are to busy hating Trump to care about their fellow Americans.
Yep, us too. Bought a bag of chips the other day- haven’t had any for,years- was shocked to see the price now- almost $3 for a small bag (the bagS with a little over a single serving). Also, gone are the $2.50 a lb hamburger deals. Paying almost the same price for hamburger as we did for steaks when Trump was president.
Was just commenting the other day that we used to be able to go to store, buy for the month roughly, and spend around $200-250. Now,it is over $400, and we don’t even get as much because we have to eliminate stuff that we used to enjoy because the budget just can’t handle those items anymore.
Heating oil- costs us double what it did under Trump.
On and on it goes.
