FYI, The Qingdao is registered in Malta and owned by French shipping and logistics company CMA CGM. It was bound for Norfolk, Virginia at the time it lost power.

That is the 3rd incident.

The 2nd incident occurred in a channel between Munuscong Lake and Mud Lake, Chippewa County, State of Michigan.

MV American Mariner blocked the channel.

OK... how often do things like this happen in the ordinary course of events? Perhaps it is more common than we realize and bullets are dodged fairly often. But I’ll admit this makes me raise my eyebrows a bit. Is there any data on “power loss” mishaps during shipping operations?

The Verrazano Narrows Bridge support towers are surrounded by earthen barriers around each tower.

An event like in Baltimore does look not physically possible.

There have been too many coincidences. The last month, there have been almost daily incidents with American passenger planes. Now we have several “out of control” cargo ships in the last month. I suspect anti-American sabotage. There have been multiple “incidents” in just the last 4 weeks. We are also involved in several war fronts and situations that involve China, Iran, Russia and South America (the Chinese have footholds in 5 S. American countries). Any one of these players would like to see industries in the US fold and our economy worse than it already is. Making people afraid to fly and wrecking bridges doesn’t help.

I hear the Chelan ninja gang can short circuit the security system in a house in order to burglarize it…with that thought, what are the chances the Chinese invader spies who gingerly and wonderfully waltz crossed our border have such devices to completely short circuit off a ship’s controls. Our government is lying to us. We are literally being under attack by the Chinese government and our effing government is lying to us …. Extremely scary that this is only the beginning. Wait until they get into our water system and our electrical grids! When this happens, the people should frog march all of FJB administration, and that piece of chit dementia OLD POS and line them all up against the wall.

Only baseline paranoids, like me, would add this to the fires, food-processing losses, chemical plant losses, disintegration of airplanes, open borders, government-supported looting, and government-supported murders, rapes and child molestations and and start singing that “something’s going on”...

General Problems Associated with MGO(mgo marine gas oil fills)
Microbial contamination, caused by bacteria and fungi, occurs in a fuel having water quantity. Due to bacterial presence, the fuel systems will generate problems such as chocked fuel filters and erratic engine operation. Possible microbiological contamination indicators are:

– Hazy appearance on the oil surface

– Suspended impurities in the oil

– Presence of the emulsion or a slimy interface layer between water and gas oil

– Foul smell from the tank drain with slight sludge discharge during draining operation

Fuel pumps of marine engines are designed for a minimum viscosity. The viscosity of Marine Gas Oil is very low as compared to the pump design factor which leads to inadequate hydrodynamic lubrication, causing wear and scuffing.

A decrease in fuel viscosity may cause an increase in fuel leakage between the pump plunger and barrel.

The leakage can lead to a hot start, and low fuel setting starts difficulties, especially in worn fuel pumps.

Due to the low viscosity of the marine gas oil, the external and attached fuel pumps may not deliver the fuel at the required pressure, which will eventually hamper the designed power output of the engine.

The more you look into it the more complex you see that fuel is a key ingredient in shipping and can be up to 35% of the cost of running big ships.

Everyone was ridiculing Lara Logan a couple weeks ago for saying that the Baltimore barge’s navigation systems had been hacked to purposely create that bridge disaster.

When you think about it all three of these “accidents” happened in areas of huge importance to major shipping links.
The great lakes is a huge shipping mecca as is the port at Baltimore and NYC. “Accidents” in or near all three could be suspect.
