It’s impossible to not notice. My wife’s family is made up of mostly virulent anti-Trump idiots.
I had a similar situation, but I announced early on that I WILL NOT discuss politics or religion. They tried a few times but I always invoked the “NPNR” rule and it kept the family civil. I just let them think what they wanted to think. You are never going to change their minds.
