My participation in this thread consisted of responding to "canuck conservative", a pro-Ukrainian poster. If you actually read what I wrote, you would have noted that I agreed with some of his posts and disagreed with others. The "fog of war" and the fact that all governments misrepresent facts make anything coming out of either the Russian media or the Western press. The original definition of the word plastic was anything like clay that could be molded or formed.   The English usage dates back 400 years.

It’s a problem when you don’t have a widespread horizontal supply ability across a wide front line. That coupled with a shortage of artillery shells etc. could be a real problem in response. Russians have the depth of supply (even with older munitions) that can be ping-ponged in widely separated areas, IMO. That’s a problem to defend against
