Let’s hope so.

So much also depends on where in the life cycle of the storm it’s in. The temperature and humidity contrast won’t be as great the longer the air masses are over land. The colder at from the artic will warm and the warmer air from the tropics will cool at night.

It would be the initial development of the low where it would be the greatest.

We can keep praying. Enough damage has already been done.

50 year anniversary of the 1974 SUPER OUTBREAK next month...50 years!!...time flys, man. The Xenia storm still fascinates. An F-5 tornado goes from one end of town to the other...and a decent sized town too. Just astonishing damage.

I’ve been riveted to accounts and podcasts of these super outbreaks and massive tornadoes the last few months, including Xenia. One account says Ted Fujita of “F”-ranking fame briefly thought of giving Xenia a “F6”.

My ex-inlaws in Rushylvania rushed to their basement for the first time in 30+ years, because of a text message, didn’t even have time to look outside.

Watching the weather radar and local lightning around 7:30 - 8 last night as the clouds parted and passed north and south of me.

The first wave in the afternoon went through in about 10 minutes! but it was enough to get me to park the car in an open area.

Climate Change. If we could just control the weather.

I was watching the weather last night. I live near Kokomo and Peru IN. We had some weather but nothing like what hit in the areas mentioned in this post. All the bad stuff went to our south.

All I can say is God comfort everyone affected by the bad weather yesterday.

Flippin, Arkansas, just East of Lee Mountain. About a mile of power poles were snapped.
